About this audiobook

In this companion to Openly Straight, Ben confronts pressure at school, repression at home, and his passion for two very different people in figuring out what it takes to be Honestly Ben.

Ben Carver is back to normal. He's working steadily in his classes at the Natick School. He just got elected captain of the baseball team. He's even won a full scholarship to college, if he can keep up his grades. All that foolishness with Rafe Goldberg the past semester is in the past.

Except...

There's Hannah, the gorgeous girl from the neighboring school, who attracts him and distracts him. There's his mother, whose quiet unhappiness Ben is noticing for the first time. School is harder, the pressure higher, the scholarship almost slipping away. And there's Rafe, funny, kind, dating someone else . . . and maybe the real normal that Ben needs.

Perfect for fans of David Levithan, Andrew Smith, and John Green, Honestly Ben is a smart, laugh-out-loud novel that will speak to anyone who's struggled to be "honestly ____________" in some part of their lives.

It was well narrated. And I love this work. The author tackled every conflict with a superior hand and delivered a satisfying finish.

    Deeply introspective and heartfelt.
This book is raw and real without any of the juvenile airiness that many other YA LGBT books come with. No, I think I grew up after having experienced this story.

Loved the first book and the sequel did it justice and gave us the closure. Ben and Rafe as characters are just amazing. Both are teen boys that can openly express themselves, even if they both had problems doing so in the books. I really enjoyed this series. I laughed and cried and cringed all around but i definitely recommend this book series to any queer, or straight, people.

It speaks a lot of the things although not all that gay guys experience. How I myself disgusts labels and how it makes me feel boxed and less human. You are u, i am me. Celebrate ourselves and how we are created.

This book is very real, more so even than Garry Schmidt sort of books. That is good, but also makes for a rough story line. Characters are great but the moral is a bit 'same old'; what percentage of of kids struggle with these issues? Not a lot.

A sweet follow on story from Openly Straight. Ending left a little to be desired but still a good read none the less. Love the main characters but loved Tobys side story just as much, would love to one day reas a book based on his story!
