About this audiobook

Trevor “Lex” Alexander’s life has been less than blessed. In the past year he’s had to battle corrupt corporations, deranged techno-terrorists, and a robotic scourge. Now he’s received the opportunity to finally return to the racing career that had been cut short by some poor decisions. One could excuse him for not wanting to be embroiled in another insane adventure when he is so close to returning to his life’s calling. Sometimes the call of duty will not be denied. Karter Dee, a certified lunatic responsible for many of Lex’s recent woes, has discovered a threat on an unprecedented scale. He and Ma, his AI caretaker, know their plan to solve the problem will take a special mixture of competence, improvisation, and disregard for personal safety. Reluctance aside, Lex is the only man for the job. Even with the skilled pilot on the team, the scope of the problem has grown so massive that it may be unsolvable in its current state. Some would consider the situation hopeless, but any good engineer knows if you can’t find a solution, you have to change the problem. To give human society a chance at a future, Lex, Karter, and Ma, will have to venture into the past.

I really enjoyed the story. The characters are interesting and engaging. The narration was very well acted. HOWEVER... the narrator mispronounces so many words that I began to wonder whether or not English is his primary language!
He also sometimes gets the character voices mixed up. It often becomes difficult to figure out which character is doing the talking.
The publisher should seriously consider hiring someone to listen to the recording BEFORE it's released.

I have enjoyed the complex plot and character development. Roll on the next installment.

Quite darker than the previous 3 books in the series and somewhat different in structure, pace and perspective. I liked and there were some interesting new characters, but for some reason I cannot give a 5, but I would give a 4+! John Forbes reads it *VERY* well in my opinion, great job!

Loved the series, sure the narrator messed up from time to time but this did not detract from the overall story. Easy, enjoyable, action packed read. I highly recommend to people who have got used to the idiosyncrasies of narrators, as overall his performance was excellent. Fantastic story.

I found myself caring for the characters in these booka and hoping for their successes. I think I will remember them with fondness. This, I think, is what makes a book meaningful... It's ability to leave a residue on the reader, to leave a mark.

Great read for sci fi nerds who are looking for a cool series.

I've really enjoyed the series to this point. The reader, however, had a tendency to slur, mispronounce words, and mix up who is speaking when assigning voices to characters.
