About this audiobook
This program is read by Thor Willink with the author, Jocko Willink.
Fifth grade was the worst year of Marc’s life. He stunk at gym class, math was too hard for him, the school lunch was horrible, and his class field trip was ruined because he couldn’t swim. But what was most awful thing about fifth grade? Kenny Williamson, the class bully, who calls himself the "King of the Jungle."
When Marc's mother tells him that his Uncle Jake is coming to stay for the whole summer, Marc can't wait. Uncle Jake is a for real, super-cool Navy SEAL. And Uncle Jake has a plan.
He's going to turn Marc into a warrior.
Becoming a warrior isn’t easy. It means a lot of pull ups, sit ups, pushups, squats, swimming, eating right, and studying harder than ever before! Can Marc transform himself into a warrior before school starts in the fall – and finally stand up to the King of the Jungle himself?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book will give you the opportunity to understand and apply the steps and principles to improve just about every aspect of your life.
Being written more like a story, it is also entertaining.
Of course, it can be used as a guide in other to “build” a warrior kid.... beware it is not the warrior we all think! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a amazing story, from the very begin I was hooked. I will be sharing this with my family, my church and anyone on my path in life....great job Mr. Willink, God Bless You!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wish I would have found this a couple years ago. It has a ton of great ideas for motivating kids.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible, at 25 this audiobook hit me hard. Since then I’ve been following Jocko’s advice of having 3 types of alarms and hitting the ground with a workout on wake-up. Becoming a warrior kid is a must-listen for anyone looking to discipline themselves to greatness
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So good!! Why aren't more kids books this awesome!?! Motivating and inspiring for anyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was full of good life lessons for both kids and adults alike. I may not agree with every thought/opinion but I do agree that more kids need this type of parenting ... not the SEAL training but the thought processes, understanding that freedom comes with a price and is not just an inherent right.
I enjoyed the book. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent for adults and children. Thank you. Loved it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The way the kid Marc thinks is very cute. I laughed out loud several times during listening. The author is a coach for adults so there are many things to take away from this book as an adult even this book is written for kids. I also took notes from this book and will apply the principles in my life. Discipline is freedom.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A book for Warrior “Kids” of all ages! Jocko is the world’s coolest uncle.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Enjoyed the Audio book by Jocko Willink. I watched an interview on YouTube with Jocko and Professor Jordon Peterson which I know and read and what Jocko was saying resonated. So I started looking on Amazon for books with his name, found a few actually. I purchased and then also found this audio book for my workouts and drive time. Will actually look for a few more books by Jocko Willink. The concepts quite literal are simple enough for a kid to apply yet for an adult as well.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It teaches you so much it is just so amazing
