About this audiobook

Nothing is more important to Blake Anderson than the work he does with his brothers at Ace Security. At least that’s what he thinks until he meets the fiercely independent Alexis Grant. The security firm’s new intern pushes all his buttons—and makes his temperature rise. But giving in to temptation might be risky business.

Alexis can tell that Blake has his doubts about her ability to commit. But while most people look at her and see only a flighty rich girl, she knows he sees much more. Determined to prove herself to Blake, Alexis jumps at the chance to work undercover. And when her case takes a dangerous turn, she puts her trust—and her heart—in his hands.

Now, as Alexis digs into the deadly secrets of a local gang, Blake will lay everything on the line to protect the woman he’s come to love.

Blake & Lex want to see the gang involved in setting up Grace & Bradford stopped.Problem is they all seem a little too naive for their own good.
Lex has been sheltered but Blake should know better. If violence is a trigger, this one will hurt.
That said the Anderson boys may have had a harsh upbringing, but these boys aren’t afraid to love- deeply, madly, blindly.

Alexis and Blake weren’t an instant couple, it took a bit for them to get together. They were attracted to each other right away, but both were playing it safe. This story brought us further into Ace Security and their main case. Alexis is right in the middle of that, with Blake worried about her. They have a strong connection and they are finally able to have their HEA!

TRIGGERS: BULLYING, ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT. Wow, so this picks up where the last book leaves off. With Alexis, now working at Ace Security alongside the brothers. They are now looking into the gang responsible for kidnapping Grace and Alexis' brother. Alexis shows just what a badass she is by volunteering to go kind of undercover, getting close to an old friend from school who became her bully. I really loved this story. It was really about overcoming a bad experience and showing how strong you truly are. Blake decides during the case that he's tired of playing games and begins his plans to claim Alexis. The romance is kind of a slow burn. These two started as like, close to enemies to friends to lovers. I loved seeing how their relationship grew. There were also some really funny parts in the book as well.

This second instalmen from Ave Security is good. I like Blake, he is a good strong character, Alex is though is not as strong character in my opinion. On the whole another great book from Susan Stoker.
