    A small mountain town is isolated by a snowstorm as an ancient evil, gone pandemic, turns the residents into the living dead. Almost overnight the town becomes a snowy tomb of the roaming, hungry infected.       Story okay, however the Cadence of the narrator was very detracting from story

      This is one of the laziest books I've listened to/read in a long time. Whatever obvious trope or character choice can be made will be made. It plays out like a culturally insensitive night of the living dead rip off. Every character that isn't the protagonist or a short lived victim is either unpleasant or a straight up psychopath. Not to mention the depictions of non Americans in this book as backwards savages. Lastly, and I don't want to harp too much on voice actors, but the voice actor was pretty bad.

      To long didn't read: this book is capital B Bad. Lazy story telling, bad narration, and so full of tropes it might as well have been written by an ai.

      I wanted to read (listen) to this series. But I can’t figure out what book is number one I’m series. So I’m gonna hop this is . I can already tell I’m gonna like the narrator.
