    Margot de Bryun survived her childhood under the control of her fathers abusive jewelry shop partner after her father's death. She was spared some of the abuse by her sister but she now wants to make a life for herself as a jeweler.Stephen Standish, Marquess of Fanworth is intrigued by her and keeps visiting to buy jewelry, enjoying the peace of her shop and her understanding about his stammer.and while she regards his patronage as professional she also finds him interesting. But if she marries she will lose her freedom and the control of the shop that she has worked to.It's complicated and solving the problems, including a stolen jewel, won't be simple,Enjoyed this read.
