      I have listened to one other book with the therapist/client romance, storyline and that one was a comedy. This story in contrast feels way more serious, and the main female character is too neurotic for me. It takes some of the fun and allure out of any kind of romance. Instead, I felt like I was just plunged into the mind of a woman with anxiety disorder and possible psychotic symptoms at times. The female narrator probably didn’t help either. There just seems to be a serious, freakout tone to her voice through half of it. I have to admit I did not finish the book and only got about halfway through before deciding that any chemistry between these two main characters was going to feel desperate, and for the wrong reasons. I wanted to try this author and this was the only book available at this time on Scribd.

      This Author is amazing at writing slow burns. You feel the pull and the tension.
