About this audiobook
The third thrilling book in the stunning Predator Cities series!
The mighty engines of Anchorage have been rusted and dead for years. The derelict city no longer roams the Ice Wastes, but has settled on the edge of the land that was once America. Tom Natsworthy and Hester Shaw are happy in the safety of a static settlement, but their daughter, Wren, is desperate for adventure. When a dangerously charming submarine pirate offers her a chance to escape, Wren doesn't think twice about leaving her home and her parents behind. But the pirate wants something in return--Wren must steal the mysterious Tin Book. To do so will ignite a conflict that could tear the whole world apart.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Barnaby Edwards is an amazing reader of a fantastic book series
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the twists and turns in this story. Great characters. I’m eager to find what happens next.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I find it so amazing that Philip Reeve can weave such a marvellous tale and also build such a detailed world, that you can visualize the entire cinematic experience. This novel, which is the 3rd book in the Predator series, continues with Anchorage still earth bound and picks up 16 years after Hester and Tom’s marriage and the birth of their daughter Wren. Cole receives a surprise visit from an old friend and when he declines to help, Wren, who is looking for adventure steps in. From there, the novel never stops engaging the reader with bad guys plotting while the good guys struggle to keep ahead of the damage. Non stop action & no time for snoozing if you are listening to the fast paced audiobook. Great continuation to the series, building on to the existing depth of the main characters while introducing new ones. The world building is ever changing and reader/listeners must stay on their toes to keep abreast of the creative moves. Fun series to read, full of emotions from various relationships, views from individuals on both sides of Traction City wars. It hardly seems possible that man will repeat the same errors that caused first apocalypse, will they?
