About this audiobook

A three day excursion turns into a nightmare when a rogue wave washes the passengers overboard, leaving Ian and Sierra scrambling for survival. Sparks ignite as they wait for a rescue, but will a secret keep them apart? Billionaire Ian Shaw can have everything he wants--except a happy ending. Or at least that's what it feels like with his fortune recently liquidated, his niece, Esme, still missing, and the woman he loves refusing to speak to him. In fact, he doubts she would date him even if they were stranded on a deserted island. Despite her love for Ian, Sierra Rose knows he has no room in his life for her as long as the mystery of his missing niece goes unsolved. The only problem is, Sierra has solved it, but a promise to Esme to keep her whereabouts secret has made it impossible to be around Ian. When the PEAK chopper is damaged and Sierra lacks the funds to repair it, Ian offers a fundraising junket for large donors on his yacht in the Caribbean. But the three-day excursion turns into a nightmare when a rogue wave cripples the yacht and sends the passengers overboard. Shaken up and soaked to the bone, Ian finally has a chance to test his theory when he and Sierra do indeed find themselves washed up on a strange, empty shore. It will take guts and gumption for the PEAK team to rescue the duo. But it will take a miracle to rescue Ian and Sierra's relationship.

I've read this series out of order--I read book 5 before this one. I liked book 5 better than this one, but I can't figure out if that is because I already know some of what happens from the previous book. This book focuses on two potential couples: Ian Shaw and Sierra Rose; Jess Tagg and Pete. Ian struggles with thinking he has to be in control and that if he's not in control he'll lose people he loves. Sierra struggles with fear of being left behind. Jess is running away from a painful past. They all end up confronting these and asking for help from God to overcome them. I didn't find the Ian/Sierra story very compelling. It seemed like they have a cyclical relationship: they'd get together, then one would do something the other wouldn't like and they'd distance themselves from each other again, then it would start all over. The Pete/Jess relationship was a bit more interesting to me because I was learning more about the life Jess chose to leave and why. It just seemed like the couples couldn't get on the same page. When one was ready, the other was not and vice versa. There's only so much of that I can read before I say "Oh, come on! Appreciate what you have with each other and move forward!"The book also deals with the PEAK rescue team. In the beginning of the book, they are dealt the loss of equipment that threatens to close down their operation. Sierra puts together a fund raising junket using Ian's yacht to try to save PEAK. The trip goes a little "Gilligan's Island"-ish with a series of random events that put lives in danger and separate the group.Overall I like the series and I like that the author is able to write romantic suspense without the seemingly obligatory-to-the-genre sex scene(s). I think this book is bit higher on the romance side than the suspense side--maybe that's why I liked book 5 a bit better than this book.

An excellent novel from the talented hands of Susan May Warren! She has managed yet again to completely capture me and enthrall me with her suspenseful romantic plot! The page turning, nail biting suspense kept me up long into the night. The characters were wonderfully chiseled and I fell in love with them all!

I won this in Early Reviewers but still have not received it, however, I borrowed it from my library and read it last week. I am just loving this series. Each set of characters highlighted have real life issues and Susan addresses them in a real life way. Faith and grace abound in the series and this one is no different. Ian Shaw and Sierra finally get it together after a very scary episode involving a sinking yacht. Both of them learn to trust God moving forward. Looking forward to the next entry in this series.

Susan May Warren's next book in the Montana Rescue series has released! And this time, she is focusing on Billionaire Ian Shaw and Sierra's story. These two have created quite the tension between themselves, but can they overcome that to acknowledge how they feel about each other? This book starts off with a bang and continues it's fast paced story line all the way to the end. I love when books are connected through exploring a group of friends or siblings' stories. The Montana Rescue series explores the relationships between a group of friends working on the PEAK rescue team. Each person is invested in their teammates as they risk their lives together rescuing people in Glacier National Park. This time, Ian Shaw and Sierra take center stage, and their story is another high-riding adventure. These two characters go through quite a change as they finally come to recognize some areas in their lives that need to change. But only God can produce that change in their lives as they surrender to Him. I thought this book was a great read and would definitely recommend this series.***I received this complimentary book from Library Thing's Early Reviewer Program. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Title: Troubled Waters (Montana Rescue Series #4)Author: Susan May WarrenPages: 352Year: 2018Publisher: RevellMy rating 5 out of 5 stars.Readers will enjoy meeting several characters in the series and following many threads of the stories in each of the books. We begin the series with Montana Rescue followed by Rescue Me, and A Matter of Trust. Coming in May of 2018 is the fifth and perhaps final book, Coming Storm. Each of the novels concentrates on a couple of the characters we’ve been following. I never get tired of reading Susan’s books because they are exceptional adventure and faith-filled tales. In Troubled Waters, the focus is on a couple of the main characters, Ian Shaw and Sierra Rose while occasionally sharing about Jess and Pete’s relationship, if they even have one. There is danger on the high seas when Ian takes his yacht out with some friends and runs into dangerous waters. What happens afterwards is adventure and suspense that keeps you turning pages and at times be on the edge of your seat! What Susan May Warren readers like me never know for sure is where she will take the action or climax in the book next and that is fun! These unique stories are filled with descriptions of beautiful scenery and some dangerous moments for the rescue team known as PEAK. I enjoy the steady pace of the plot and the heightened moments of danger where the team is either rescuing others or trying to extract themselves from places where death could be moments away!I hope you will all get caught up in the series before the fifth novel is released. These are books you will want to read again and again or share with other members of your family. Don’t be surprised if your friends want to read them as well!

This book kept me guessing as to what would happen between Ian and Sierra next. They seem to want to work things out , but I imagine with the secrets and grief in their lives, it makes it hard to make it all come together. I liked how when push came to shove, the finally had to talk things out and to get everything rescued. I received a copy of the book from the publisher, the review is my own.

Again I cannot wait until the next book in this series comes out. It is so much fun learning more and more about this team. Ian and Sierra ad a lot of stuff to get over to come together but with faith they pulled together. This story had a lot of suspense and a bit of romance, my favorite style of Book. I did not want to put this down. I received a copy of this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

First, I was given this book. I write this review of my own choosing. Because I was given this book, I have not read the first books in the series. It didn't diminish the book at all, but I am sure I would have had more understanding of the characters. But, as I said, it really didn't matter. The story is both an adventure and a love story. A story about learning to trust and have faith. I won't give you the details of the story, you can read that on the book or in the description. I will just give you my opinion of if this is a book worth your time and money. I say yes, it is. The story got my attention at the very beginning and did not disappoint at all. It went from one problem/adventure to another with ease. The story flowed very well. The characters were well developed as well. You felt like you had at least met them if not know them. The characters came from varied walks of life, so you will fit into the story if that is your way of reading. If you prefer to read as if watching a movie, it will still keep you entertained. The story is a Christian book, but not a preachy one. It shows how important it is to trust in God. It shows how trusting and not trusting affect people. It is a good example for us to learn from. I am looking forward to the next book and I hope to get a chance, soon to read the previous in the series.

For years, Ian Shaw and Sierra Rose have danced around the invisible, but very real obstacles, that prevent them from having a relationship. However, when both find themselves in crisis, they are pushed together. Ian's received a massive fine that has crippled his finances. Sierra may lose her job if PEAK Rescue is shut down due to damages the team's chopper has incurred. With no chopper, PEAK is no longer. Ian offers Sierra the use of his yacht to raise money from his very wealthy friends. However, a rogue wave sinks the ship, sending its passengers to fight for their lives. When Ian and Sierra are stranded on a island together, the obstacles between them shrink and they begin to honestly engage each other. Still secrets, lies, and danger threaten their tenuous relationship. Read more in Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren.Troubled Waters stands as the fourth novel in Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series. I think it could be read alone, but the entire series is amazing and I recommend reading them in order, beginning with the free prequel, If Ever I Would Leave You. The prequel is where Sierra and Ian's story starts and they feature prominently in Wild Montana Skies.I read Troubled Waters in two long sittings. It was so, so good. It seems that Susan May Warren likes to commence a story by dropping the reader right into a tense situation. It's a pretty effective hook and the tension continues throughout the story both externally and internally for the characters. I stayed engaged, wanting more, turning pages late into the night. I enjoyed the development of Sierra and Ian individually as well as a couple. There were twists that I didn't see coming and secondary characters that added more to the story. Overall, Troubled Waters is a great read.I recommend Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren to fans of contemporary Christian romance. The Montana Rescue series is permeated with themes of redemption and plenty of romance. They occupy precious space on my bookshelf and will be read again.Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. Troubled Waters is book four in the Montana Rescue series. I have been looking forward to Ian and Sierra Rose's story since they were first introduced in the prequel. They definitely have chemistry and they definitely love each other but circumstances have kept them apart. Ian could never get over the fact that Sierra was not truthful with him concerning the disappearance of his niece. The disappearance of his niece has been a mystery since the prequel and we finally get some answers in this book. Even though the mystery of Esme is solved there are other mysteries evolving in this book such as the mysterious Brett which will be covered in a future book. Like all the other books this one has some action. While the other books had events dealing with the weather such as floods and snow this one deals with a shipwreck and Sierra and Ian on a desolate shore. The problem is that Sierra is still holding secrets from Ian. Will he be able to forgive her for still keeping secrets? Another thing I loved about the book besides the chemistry between Ian and Sierra is the developing relationship between Jess and Pete. I look forward to a future book with them. I also loved the cover of this book. The covers of her books just keep getting better with the good looking men on the cover.I received an advance copy of this story from the author and publisher. The opinions stated above are entirely my own. Troubled Waters will be released on January 2, 2018.
