About this audiobook

Twelve humans are left stranded on a wintry alien planet. I'm one of them. Yay, me.

In order to survive, we have to take on a symbiont that wants to rewire our bodies to live in this brutal place. I like to call it a cootie. And my cootie's a jerk, because it also thinks I'm the mate to the biggest, surliest alien of the group.

Contains mature themes.

Loved this. The narrators are great. The lead character is hilarious. The sex doesn’t overwhelm the story. Better than the first book! Can’t wait for the third

Difficult to listen to. Rude, tedious female character. Saying no while participating in sexual intimacy is stupid. Too much killing. Sadly, I listened to most hoping it would get better. It did not. Waste of time.

Honestly I didn’t like Raahosh, and I didn’t like Liz. I didn’t like the whole forced her to have the worm thing and I didn’t care for Liz’s attitude most of the time. Also all of the mixed signals about sex towards the beginning were kind of pissing me off

I enjoyed this book a lot. I prefer the first book but love the stubborn side of both these characters. Will be reading the next book of course.

I wanted to really enjoy this one.

Liz seemed like a really strong heroine with a backbone but she came across as a real hard arse who was contradicting. Raahosh had his very sweet moments or what he tried to do started sweet but then had the wrong message when it was his monologue. He came across as very controlling and they became codependent on each other but it didn't seem to come from a place of love. It seemed to come from anger, mainly on Liz's side.

When they both ended up back with the others the environment came across as different and not something that fitted either Liz or Raahosh. All the side characters seemed to lose their personalities from the start of the series.

I liked it but sometimes Liz annoyed me and I was so ready for her to just shut up but I’m so excited to listen to the third book ??

The book is good, but the audio starting jumping and skipping around chapter 5. Ruins the experience

I thought this was as hood as the first book. I actually liked Liz and Rahaash more than Georgie and Vektal. Liz was so stubborn and strong, and her banter with Rahaas was fantastic. I'm excited to read about all the new couples. This is such a fun series.

Very delightful but I wish there were a little more detail in the spicy scenes. I give 5 stars because I felt like I was the one being pleasured so I heard a few chapters for a second time. That is a good thing because I normally want hurry and move on to another book. I need more book like this. Never thought I would love alien romance novel's. Nice change to add to my wild imagination. LOL! A big plus to the narrator, lovely voice, comfy southern attitude with a hint of that comedic sarcasm and Taurus fire I love. Just like myself. MORE MORE MORE PLEASE!

It’s super weird alien stuff but it’s well written and paced well. There’s a scene in the beginning that should have a trigger warning but it is short and not gratuitously explicit. I’m going to read the next book because I am interested in these characters now.

Oh am I ever glad I pushed through book 1 - Georgie is NOT my favorite character but Liz! Oh she is my cup of tea. Between the sarcasm and second-hand embarrassment I ❤ this story! I like that the love interests are equally stubborn and that once the cultural divide is lifted it is obvious that they are perfectly matched.

This is the worst quality audiobook I’ve ever listened to. To the point I’m embarrassed it’s available to listen/buy. Like was this recorded on a 2012 MacBook? Absolutely horrible quality ruins the whole book.

The “steamy” dialogue is repetitive, but the story at the center of the book is a sweet one of wanting to be with another no matter the odds stacked against you.

I laughed. I cried. Seriously, tears were shed. This is only the second book and already in anxious about finishing the series and and the bereft feeling I will get when it's over. This one was super well written, just as the first was. Honestly, it's almost Utopian in its resolving of issues - like the women, tired of constantly having their choices taken from them, have found a tribe of burly, walking vibrators who are reasonable and capable of the kind of emotional intelligence that's hard to come by on earth. Maybe that's my own interpretation, but I don't care. I want my socialist utopia.

This was a great book, laugh out loud moments, tear jerker moments. Just an all around good book.

Liked, but felt it was not as good as the first book. Mainly because I didn't care for Liz. She was a little too bitchy for my tastes. Not as much drama in this book. However, there were a few things that happened to move the story along. Lastly, I felt this one could have used a little more character development.

This is a nice follow up to the first book, picking up about where the previous left off and showing a different kind of relationship. The men are ver similar in mindset and desires, but the women are very different.

This time around, the female mc wants agency in life and you feel a bit of pity for the male mc. As he has personal struggles (childhood trauma and different social standing) that the previous didn't.

About as good as the first book, but personal preference will play into which you prefer. Recommend for people who like Beauty and the Beast or Stockholm Syndrome plots.

Honestly, it felt more like a sweet Stockholm syndrome story than a romance. But, I like Liz.

I think I enjoyed the first book a bit better, but this one is still good. They’re short books, so I have to keep reminding myself that there isn’t much time for detailed description. Some people might like that, though.

Either way, somehow this author paints great pictures with saying little words. It’s a good flick and I’m starting the third one now!

Both narrators have ended up becoming my favorite so far.

I must admit: I'm hooked to this!
I love the whole resonance thing with the cooties and blue aliens.
About Raahosh I thought he'd be our typical grumpy caveman. And in a sense, he is but not in an insufferable way. And he's character is deeper than one would think.
I kinda liked Liz, but at the same time, I think she overdid it with the sarcasm and slang. Especially, when the aliens have a very literal way of understanding English.
Both of them were a bit repetitive. He with the "you're mine" thing and she with the "no one asked me if I wanted this" (while being kidnapped and stranded on an ice planet).
I also loved the fact that these short stories manage to talk about consent, what having options mean and the many ways one can show love and affection.

Scribd narrators: Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd (love'em)

I’m shook. If you ever told me I would give 5 stars to some alien smut I would not have believed you and here I am ! This is everything I didn’t know I needed. I gave 3 ⭐️ to the first book in the series and tried this one out because I actually like Liz in the first book so I wanted to read from her perspective and I am so glad I did ! I loved the character and I can’t lie to myself anymore, I was SO invested in the story I can’t believe it. It’s everything it promises to be. Great characters, really fun, and strangely hot scenes. Loved it.
