There were so many different storylines that it was a little hard to follow. Ending tied most things up but felt a little like I was left hanging. Narrator was not good to me, I don’t like it when they try to do accents especially Southern. People from Montgomery, Alabama do not sound like that for the most part.

It took me a while to get into it, but once I did I really enjoyed it. The connection between the lives of the characters from their past, into their present, and ultimately their future was very interesting and kept me reading to the end. It was a little choppy with the back and forth from present to past and back but once you get the story format it all makes sense. Great read!

Out of all of his books, this is the only one that I've been able to rate only a 4 star for. each of his others kept me wanting more and on the edge of my seat. This one just felt a little... bleh.

The narrator is terrible. The voices he makes are unhinged for no reason.

The narrator is ridiculous.l (think "toast of London") No one talks like this in modern day UK. Can't even listen to more than 2 chapters. One star for the laugh it gave me.
