About this audiobook
As the ballistics and weapon's expert for the FBI's special task force nicknamed the White Knights, Rick Cannon has known the Department of Defense was developing self-steering bullets. Rick feared these smart bullets-which have one hundred percent accuracy that can turn even a novice into a lethal sniper-would eventually end up in the hands of the wrong people. But since the ammunition was still in the development stage, he figured they had plenty of time before that happened. He was wrong. Dead wrong.
Until they become reality.
When a homeless vet is killed with a smart bullet, it's clear that the ammunition has been stolen, and the Knights are called in to find the thief and stop the killings. But they aren't the only ones desperate to find the killer. Therapist Olivia Dobbs is well known for her success in counseling military veterans with PTSD. When she discovers one of her clients moments after he is murdered, she becomes both the FBI's prime witness and suspect.
Despite the mutual attraction that immediately sparks between them, Rick can't-no he won't-let Olivia interfere with his investigation. But when the sniper trains his rifle on her, Rick must recall all the skills he learned as a Marine sniper to make sure the next bullet fired isn't a kill shot that takes Olivia out.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5There is something about Susan Sleeman’s characters that you learn to love. When you see them back in another book it's like seeing an old friend. Susan's books are not heavy with fluff and are fairly suspenseful. Well off to the next book. Mmm, what do I listen to next.......
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the second book in this series that I have read, and yes, they can be read alone, but if you like mystery don’t miss either of these. Some of our friends are back, and we have a top-secret weapon missing, and people using it to take out former snipers. The author has us dealing with some really tough subjects here, mainly PTSD, and how it effects the lives of so many people.Soon all seem to be running for their lives, and the FBI team is trying to find the perpetrator, who are they after and why? There is a little romance here, but there is also action around every corner, and these people go to any length and don’t care how many innocents they harm.A read that is going to keep you page turning, you have to know!I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher FaithWords, and was not required to give a positive review.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5HOLD ONTO YOUR SEATS FOR A BUMPY RIDE FILLED WITH TWISTS AND TURNS! I almost slept with this book as I JUST had TO read it all, every last page! I fell in love with the battle ready Rick Cannon, a ballistics and weapons expert for the DOD, and felt his astonishment when he learned about "smart bullets than had one hundred percent accuracy! The weapon and bullets were stolen from the DOD and one ex-soldier was already dead. I love Dr. Olivia Dobbs who was dedicated to helping her patients, but Ace was a homeless veteran and was HER patient and she wanted to find his killer badly, until untill SHE was now a target!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a book that you will not want to put down. Rick has has knowledge that he thinks he had time to decide what to do with it, but soon finds out that the clock is ticking. Olivia too is interested in who and how the killing is occurring and soon teams up Rick so that their knowledge together can hopefully find out who is behind everything before it is too late.
