About this audiobook
Elijah Graber knows he hurt Catherine when he left their Amish district six years ago. He's determined to explain his actions, even if it means following her to Florida. Perhaps their two-day bus trip together will provide enough time for him to make his case and win her back.
Just when Elijah is starting to tear down the walls Catherine has built, their bus skids on an icy road-and amid the mayhem and tragedy that follow, Catherine disappears. Elijah's friends urge him to prepare for the worst, but Elijah holds on to his hope in God and refuses to give up his search for Catherine. With supernatural nudging from the most unexpected places, Elijah sets out to find the love he once lost-no matter the cost.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What an amazing book ! A story of love, friendship and tragedy. When we think of tragedy we think we lost hope but not Elijah he never lost hope ! A wonderful book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Catherine Glick was certain that after six years of courting, Zack would propose. It was the Eve of the New Year. A storm came in so the celebration was cut short. A surprise visit by Elijah - the one who broke her heart over six years ago - further ruined the evening. After making a huge, Faux Pas a few days later, Catherine just had to get away! She made sure she got her ticket to visit her cousin in Florida. As she was leaving, she bumped into her nemeses, Elijah Graber! She was startled to discover he was accompanying her. Little did either know the devastating adventures they would each encounter on their journey. This is a very touching, yet at the sane time, inspiring story of one Amish woman's And one Amish man's plight after leaving their small, Amish community. The characters were very well-described, as were the scenes. Both were easily visualized. The Book cover image depicted the story very-well, and the Title was also a good "fit".The ending was quite predictable, but there was plenty of adventure in between to captivate the reader's interest.*This book was gifted me with no suggestion of a positive review. This is my honest review.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a fantastically written Amish story. I love the characters and love how everything unraveled. Catherine and Elijah both learn many lessons and hope in God. This story flows smoothly and I did not want to put it down. I laughed and cried whiling reading. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The author has a beautiful way of taking a story and bringing it full circle with a depth of emotions that you feel in your heart. I loved how the author allowed readers to experience what it is like to find your faith again and reach out for mercy and hope. Catherine is a great character who I think perhaps acted impulsive when she decided to go to Florida. Her decision made, she gets on the bus timidly ready for her adventure.I liked that the author had Elijah on the same bus as Catherine. I didn't think Catherine was thrilled with him being there, but his presence plays a big part in the story. I remember a few months back riding a bus that took me to a town three hours away. I was scared the whole trip because I didn't know anyone. These thoughts kept running through my mind, "What if the bus crashes?" What did I forget to bring with me? I left my faith behind and allowed the enemy to have a field day in my mind.I was alarmed at all the tragedies that Catherine and Elijah endured. The first one was enough to send me back home. When the next one hit, I was beside myself. The story takes on a theme of a roller coaster ride as two people try to find their way back to each other .Elijah's determination to not give up just gave me chills. I didn't like the lawyer in the story at all. He was a person who preys on other people's tragedies for money. It just reminds us how some people are selfish and only looking out for themselves. The story flows very well and blends two characters together as they find their purpose in life. They each travel to places that are not familiar but find hope along the way. The journey is filled with disappointment, hope, and above all mercy.I received a copy of this book from the author. The review is my own opinion.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh, how I loved this book, from beginning to end it didn’t disappoint, and just kept getting better. We journey from our Amish Community in Michigan on our way to an Amish settlement in Florida. What a trip we embark on and it sure isn’t what you expect, one bombshell after another, and you never know where you are going to end up, or if all will survive. This is a love story, but includes many people to get to the end, and you will keep guessing who the couple is and how it is going to conclude.Answers will come, and how rumors started become known, forces against and who is the mysterious stranger, yes, we find out, but wow!I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.
