About this audiobook

Sometimes, one stubborn Capricorn is all it takes . . . to drive Wesley Hidaka to crazy, flirtatious lengths.

Wesley loves annoying his RA Lloyd Reynolds. He just can't help it. Lloyd is focused, decisive, grounded. He has this amusing ability to follow rules.

Of course Wesley wants Lloyd to break one . . . or three hundred.

Sometimes, one smirking Gemini is all it takes . . . to have Lloyd laying down the law and marching Wesley straight back to his dorm room.

It doesn't stop Wesley teasing again. And again. And again . . .

But damn. Lloyd doesn't crack easily. He's full of principles. He's unshakable. He's the perfect friend to have when Wesley needs help. Like with his truant brother and his old high school principal.

Sometimes, one little lie is all it takes . . . to find Wesley fake-engaged to his off-limits RA.

What can he say? It seemed like a good idea at the time . . .

Contains mature themes.

awful narration, I feel bad for the author. Her hard work is completely ruined by the narration, it actually almost made me physically ill. don't waste your time with the audiobook.

Many reviewers put into words this was a slow burn and I agree but it was way to slow ? for my taste. ? Wesley was very persistent in his pursuit of Lloyd and had me amused with his one-liners and his love for his brother who I thought needed I kick in the pants.
There were parts in the book that were mentioned (Wesley's relationship with his mom and leaving the house, Lloyds mom and aunt) but the author didn't really go into depth with the specifics of those. Pretty much the book was about Wesley's shenanigans and wearing down Lloyd.
I listened to this book on audio and this narrator was one I wouldn't recommend listening to. ?
I'm one of the few readers that didn't love this so I'd say read and not listen to it and make up your own mind. ?

4.75. Wholesome & adorkable. I fell head over heels with both characters. They are so well written and they evolve and connect in such a beautiful way. And as always Anyta's slow burn is killing me. I also laughed a lot with Wesley (the narrator here was on point).

re-read, still 4 stars. exactly the sweet and fluffy sunday read i was in need of, to stave off the anxiety clawing at my brain.

It has the same issues as the second book in the series for me. Lack of detailed, vivid descriptions makes this be quite empty for me. A lot of dialogue and actions that are kinda abrupt. It was hard to imagine this in my head/movie playing in my head.

Still wondering what happened for these to be like this, when Anyta has done a whole Rock.

Quite disappointed, need to reread the first book of this series to see if I was just blind to it or it was in fact better.
