About this audiobook

Xalax

When I see her groped and humiliated at the auction house, I have no choice but to buy her. Even if a virgin human female costs as much as all the minerals on Fenda.

I don't care if it's against the rules, if the healers say our DNA isn't compatible. I'm the Crown Prince. I make the rules. I take what I want. And I want her.

She's my proper mate. I can feel it.

But first, I must claim her. I'll try to be gentle with my delicate little creature, but I don't know if I can . . .

Resa

I'm a Marked human female, bought and paid for. He can do anything he wants to me. This gigantic, muscled alien has total mastery over my body.

I've never done this before . . . with human or alien. I'm frightened, alone, and trembling but I can't help but imagine what it will feel like when this hulking creature takes me . . .

Why would I desire this brute? Even if he's the one who saved me. The only one to show me kindness.

All that stuff he said about bonding and mates, that's just alien superstition. It's not what's happening. Is it?

Contains mature themes.

It was a nice short listen, only I didn't realize when I picked it up that the story was broken down through several books. Leaving cliffhangers.?

Couldn't finish it. I don't understand why on those books women are made just useless and almost brainless even though they are written for women.

Very predictable storyline. Human female protagonists from a war and diseased ravaged earth. Sold to the highest bidder on an alien planet for breeding. Of course the alien is sexy, sweet, and all alpha male, and she's his mate!
I didn't love the writing. I felt like I was reading a lot of incomplete thoughts. The entire book was just, OK.

Took the chick long enough to grow a brain smh... She is dense af half the time and bad with jumping to conclusions thus getting on my nerves. Of course she gets smart finally (after the truth was dropped on her lap, literally, of course) but the overall story is ok. Worth listening through once to get the whole overall story throughout the trilogy, the other 2 parts of this trilogy are better.

The content was good. The characters were excellent and the end was great. Even though I thought it could have been more

I usually enjoy fantasy more than full on scifi but I'm very glad that I made an exception for this book. I felt the characters were well developed as were the worlds and races. Some of the technology was unoriginal but it meant that there were no huge, boring, technological breaks in the plot. The smut is good but not overwhelming. I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series. I'm hoping the chicken turns into a small flock in the future just to baffle the minds of the aliens. lol

It is a decent story as can be. Typical but I like anytime a female kicks butt.

Found it OK, was expecting more but was slightly disappointed. Would listen to the other books in the series hopefully better than this book.
Though narrators have good voices, both are quite monotonous which also reduced enjoyment of the book.

It was a short listen but, pretty good all the same. I fell like there was more than enough room in the plot to expand it a bit further though.

As misogynistic as 50 Shades of Gray. Good narrating, though.
