About this audiobook

Falling in love with Daisy was easy for Jack. But finding the courage to tell her becomes problematic when his secret feelings lead to even bigger complications.

From the bestselling author of The Convenient Groom and A December Bride (now beloved Hallmark Original movies) comes the final book in the Blue Ridge Romance series.

After two years of counseling sessions with Daisy Pendleton, Pastor Jack McReady has earned a permanent spot in her life as a spiritual leader—and nothing more. Jack would never risk losing her trust by exposing the depths of his heart, but he’s hopelessly in love with her.

Daisy loves her southern small-town life and her job at her family-run flower shop, but she doesn’t have the thing she longs for most: someone to share it with. Her recent foray into online dating has been a disaster—until she meets TJ.

Jack could kill his friend Noah for using his initials and some indistinct photos to set up a profile on the dating app Daisy is using. But when he’s finally afforded the opportunity to show her a different side of himself, he’s sucked into the plan before he has time for second thoughts.

Online, Daisy shares some of her greatest fears with TJ, but in person, Jack and Daisy are spending more time together. When a devastating family secret surfaces, Daisy knows that only her trusted friend and counselor can bring her comfort. Jack wants nothing more than to be both men for Daisy, but revealing his secret will prove to be the ultimate test of Daisy’s grace.

On Magnolia Lane by Denise Hunter is a sweet, heartwarming Christian romance. Although this latest release is the third novel in the Blue Ridge series, it can be read as a standalone. However I HIGHLY recommend the entire series.

Pastor Jack McReady is in love with Daisy Pendleton but due to their age difference and the fact he is her pastor, he keeps his feelings to himself. Unbeknownst to Jack, Daisy is using a dating app and one of his friends has created a profile for Jack on the same site. Despite his serious reservations about deceiving Daisy, Jack (who goes by TJ on the app) continues chatting with her on the site. In real life, the two of them are unexpectedly growing closer since Daisy is finally viewing Jack as more than her pastor.  Jack's conscious is telling him to confess the truth to Daisy, but will she understand his reason for his deception?

Jack is a wonderful pastor who is quite devoted to his congregation. While he is very confident in his career, he is shy and awkward around women. Although there are no restrictions about him dating someone from his congregation, Jack has been uncomfortable about taking his relationship with Daisy beyond friendship. When jealousy strikes, he makes a split second decision to continue getting to know Daisy as TJ. Never quite at ease with deceiving her, Jack eagerly looks forward to exchanging messages with her and he is quite delighted when, in real life, Daisy begins to consider more than just her spiritual guide.

Daisy is kind-hearted, compassionate and very involved in the local community.  She works alongside her mother and grandmother in their family owned florist shop. While her floral creations are much admired, Daisy suffers from low self-esteem. During their one on one sessions,  Pastor Jack has been a guiding force in helping her change the way she views herself. Although she sees him socially quite frequently, she views him pastor first and a friend last. After learning shocking information about her family, Daisy gradually begins to realize there is more to Jack than his vocation. Yet she is conflicted about her growing feelings for Jack since she is also quite smitten with TJ. What will happen when Daisy discovers that no one, including Jack, is as perfect as she believes?

On Magnolia Lane is an endearing romance that also provides a heartfelt lesson about grace and forgiveness. Jack and Daisy are richly developed characters whose flaws are wonderfully offset by their kindness and compassion. While Jack is quick to confess and ask forgiveness for his mistakes, Daisy is deeply disappointed by the discovery that her heroes are not infallible. Denise Hunter brings the novel to an uplifting, sigh-worthy conclusion. I greatly enjoyed and highly recommend this final installment in the Blue Ridge series to fans of the genre.

Jack is in love with Daisy but doesn't know how to make the transition from pastor to boyfriend. There's the convenient dating app where Jack goes incognito but also has the opportunity to help Daisy through a personal crisis with an unexpected sister and a revision of the past she thought she knew. The romance is both innocent and real and the two become close through the sharing of their challenges as well as their positives. Forgiveness is a big theme.

On Magnolia Lane by Denise HunterBook #3: Blue Ridge SeriesSource: NetGalleyMy Rating: 3/5 stars**MINI-REVIEW**The Bottom Line: By way of full disclosure, I didn’t dive into this series with book three, but did listen to the first two books on audio before reading On Magnolia Lane. Based on the first two books, I was rather excited to read On Magnolia Lane, but I discovered as I got started, this series really is better for me on audio. While I very much liked the characters in this story, the plot, and the inclusion of characters from the first two books, I found it difficult to really focus on the physical reading. It took me such a long time to get through this book, and that wasn’t the case with the audio books. At the end of the day, as audio books, I really enjoyed this series, and wish I had waited for the audio version of On Magnolia Lane. This is a truly sweet, Christian- based, very low heat series with real people working through real life issues that result in HEAs. I absolutely know I would have enjoyed the last book more had I listened to rather than physically read the book. While this certainly isn’t the authors fault, and there are no technical issues at all with this book, it is something I now know to look out for as a reader. So, do I recommend this trilogy? Yes, my issues are mine alone and I truly believe this is a trilogy that will appeal to a great number of readers.

On Magnolia Lane, is the third and final novel to the Blue Ridge Romance Series. This is the perfect ending to this series. Denise Hunter has saved her best for last. During the two prior books, I kept pulling for Pastor Jack McReady. Out of the group of friends, it seemed like everyone else was pairing up, becoming couples and getting married except for him. Jack has had a secret crush on Daisy Pendleton for two long years. As in any small town, the crush does not stay a secret, at least from his best friend Noah. Noah is relentless at trying to get Jack to act before it is too late.Jack feels he has so many reasons not to ask Daisy out. Besides his extreme shyness with women, Daisy is part of his congregation. He is worried about their 10 year age difference. He just knows someone like Daisy, who is so kind and beautiful, would not be interested in him.One of my all time favorite movies is You Got Mail. Without giving the plot away, there are parts of this book that remind so much of that movie. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publishing through NetGalleys. The opinions expressed in this book are my own.

“Sometimes you just have to extend a little grace to people. Not because they deserve it - but because we don’t deserve it either.”This third installment in Denise Hunter’s Blue Ridge Romance series can definitely be read as a stand-alone (though I’ve read many of Denise Hunter’s books, I haven’t read the first two books in this series). The author once again captivates the reader with her easy-to-read fluid writing style, emotionally raw scenes that make the plot, steady and swoon-worthy hero, and a deep life and faith lesson that touches universally. Extending and accepting grace is a big theme for quite a few characters in the book. If you enjoy contemporary romance, you will definitely want to read this book. Pastor Jack finally gets his own story, after having appeared in all the books in the series and then some. He’s kind, tender, compassionate, funny, and intelligent yet often insecure around women. He’s been in love with Daisy for quite some time now but isn’t sure how to make his feelings known. Daisy is a fun, loving, and generous part-owner of a florist shop whose world is turned upside down in a short span of time due to family secrets being unearthed. Their friendship/relationship is slow, sweet, and lovely even with all the hiccups and stumbling blocks along the way. I love the way the author pulls together a group of wonderful and memorable characters into a charming small-town atmosphere to create a world in which the reader can love, weep, and rejoice with our fictional friends. I received a copy of the book from the author and Thomas Nelson/HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Inc. I was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.

What a sweet read. Jack & Daisy make a cute couple. Jack is a young pastor lacking self confidence when he’s talking to Daisy. His feelings come out in the awkward way he converses with Daisy when they are talking personally. It’s the reason why his friends manage to draw him into the deception with the dating app. Daisy lacks self confidence due to her dyslexia & how she perceives that as not being smart enough. It takes working with another young girl to get her diagnosed to make Daisy realize that it’s a disability, not ignorance. Daisy also has a problem with putting people up on a pedestal & not seeing them as human beings with faults. Her faith gets a work out when a secret from her parents past becomes known & Daisy struggles with forgiveness. She has the same problem with Jack. Can they find a way to their future together? These characters are real with faults that everyone has. I love that this story shows a pastor as a typical young man with his own faults & not perfect. Too many people expect them to be above temptations & godlike instead of typical humans capable of making mistakes. There are so many supporting characters that aid in telling this story & they all have vital parts. This was an enjoyable read for a dreary weekend day.
