About this audiobook
Rachel Hollis points out the pitfalls, challenges, and excuses that stop us from achieving our aspirations.
Rachel Hollis has seen it too often: Women not living into their full potential. They feel a tugging on their hearts for something more, but they’re afraid of embarrassment, of falling short of perfection, of not being enough.
In Girl, Stop Apologizing, #1 New York Times bestselling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call. She knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of other people—whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee—instead of learning how to own who they are and what they want.
In this book, Hollis helps you to:
- identify the excuses to let go of,
- the behaviors to adopt,
- And the skills to acquire on the path to growth, confidence, and believing in yourself.
Hollis shares stories and principles with raw honesty that inspires her readers to discover and take the practical steps that will put them on a lifelong path of personal growth.
Girl, Stop Apologizing is the life- changing guide you need to dump your excuses, embrace your dreams, set boundaries, and gain real confidence in life.
Rachel Hollis
Rachel laid the foundation for her lifestyle brand and media company with the same unfiltered honesty and staunch inclusivity that made her a three-time New York Times bestselling author. Hollis connects with a highly engaged and growing global audience of women who treasure her transparency and optimism. She is one of the most sought-after motivational speakers, plays host to some of today’s top podcasts, and is a proud mama of four who uses her platform to empower and embolden women around the world. Rachel calls Texas home; more specifically, the Hill Country just outside of Austin.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Irritating. The minute she started to complain about how people think they have an inkling of what goes on in a social media influencer's life based on what the influencers post about their lives - she lost me. I dont even have social media but this sounds like a "poor me im so rich getting money off of posting about my fabulous life to make others envy for the same but you dont know my hard life" narrative. No thank you.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Life changing! I’m not sure how else to put it or the right words to say so.... LIFE CHANGING
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5All the words that I need to hear to feel motivated to accomplish my goals. If only I could have Rachel’s motivation in my ear 24/7 when I start doubting myself.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I loved the three part arrangement of the book - excuses to let go of, behaviors to adopt, skills to acquire. I enjoyed the audiobook, I am not sure if I would have finished the actual book. It was a good companion on my way to work! My take away from the book is that ‘it is not enough to know where you want to go when you don’t know where you are right now’, definitely going to tackle my goals in this manner because at times we think the goal is bigger than us only to find that you are only two steps away.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a good book. I needed it at this point in my life where all my personal and professional plans failed terribly. I have failed me. But it’s true there are numerous pop culture references, I get some of them and some of them I let pass. Rachel Hollis does teach although her experiences are sort of not relatable or her choices are something you wont pick for yourself but still the lessons she has learnt in her life are practical and doable, she tries to convey tips in generalising for masses. She has an energetic persona and her energy is palpable on every page of the book. Read it girls.
Will I pick her other books? May be not. I want to practice what I learnt to help me change. And its good to take one self help-book, absorb it completely and go all in!
The greatest lesson is don’t feel selfish, apologetic for your dreams. You own it. You dream it. You make it! - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Didn't like it. . . . . . . .
