About this audiobook

From the New York Times and internationally bestselling authors of the Illuminae Files comes a new science fiction epic . . .

The year is 2380, and the graduating cadets of Aurora Academy are being assigned their first missions. Star pupil Tyler Jones is ready to recruit the squad of his dreams, but his own boneheaded heroism sees him stuck with the dregs nobody else in the academy would touch . . .

A cocky diplomat with a black belt in sarcasm

A sociopath scientist with a fondness for shooting her bunkmates

A smart-ass tech whiz with the galaxy's biggest chip on his shoulder

An alien warrior with anger-management issues

A tomboy pilot who's totally not into him, in case you were wondering

And Ty's squad isn't even his biggest problem—that'd be Aurora Jie-Lin O'Malley, the girl he's just rescued from interdimensional space. Trapped in cryo-sleep for two centuries, Auri is a girl out of time and out of her depth. But she could be the catalyst that starts a war millions of years in the making, and Tyler's squad of losers, discipline cases, and misfits might just be the last hope for the entire galaxy.

NOBODY PANIC.

Great audiobook! the full cast was just amazing and managed to instill such emotion in their narration. The full cast plus the sound effects just gave me the idea I was listening to a complete space opera. I definitely recommend to give a chance to the audiobook

What a journey! It’s like the YA version of Star Trek/Guardians of the Galaxy with a motley crew of teens who were clearly fated to be on this path together. I loved so much about this novel. The squad is fantastic, their personalities are on point, and the narrator cast is amazing. The storyline is mysterious, action-packed, and intriguing. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard with a sci-fi read, and I can’t wait for more.

Fun & captivating story! I removed one star because of the sexual and vulgar references that were sprinkled throughout the book as it would have been better without them. Not for kids’ ears.

Surprising but far from original, this book follows seven teens as they battle a megalomaniacal give mind. The flippancy and melodrama never end. Maybe a twelve to thirteen years old would love it.

Aurora Rising was such an incredible narrative I absolutely loved all the different voices and sound effects since it brought the story to life! The events are fast-paced and the action just continues to intesify Squad 312 has definitely become a favorite! While the ending did destroy me I will not forgive Amie nor Jay but I am so ready to see what else happens!
