About this audiobook

Booze, women, and brotherhood-that's what my good friend Quinn's bachelor party should have been.

Booze, one mysterious raven-haired woman, and an arrest-that's what it was.

As Cam Mitchell, a New York Maverick and one of the best tight ends in the professional football league, my to-do list should be pretty simple.

Play ball. Get laid. Have fun.

But after one hour with a stripper named Trixie, that list of mine has shifted dramatically.

Tell Quinn to call my lawyer. And, for the love of God, don't get fired from the Mavericks.

I swear, I tried to make it stop there.
But one tiny thing keeps finding its way to the very top . . .

Find out more about the dark-haired beauty with the big blue eyes and make her mine.

Too bad it's a hell of a lot more complicated than that.

How do you fall in love with a woman whose real name you don't know?

Well, ladies and gentlemen . . . I'm about to find out.

wanted to read something easy, smutty, fun and light. this was all of that, if not all that well executed. the beginning was very lackluster and i powered through on simple stubbornness. the most disappointing aspect was the smut, which was boring and awkward and somehow inauthentic. the romance was a bit better, but even that wasn't all that convincing. the second half got a bit better and a little more humorous, which is why this is a three star review, in stead of a two star one.

No real football in this one but great story and it moves quickly. Best part is they don’t waste a lot of time pretending not to be interested in each other. Cam is a talented player and a stand up guy, Trixie aka Lana is undercover as a stripper. Cam doesn’t judge her. Never thinks twice about her being a stripper nor does he immediately try to fix her. Lana comes from a typical cop family, and it hilariously doesn’t disappoint. Cam’s patience and straight forwardness is dreamy.

This is just another MM book that shows the characters I’ve come to love from the beginning of my first billionaire book.

(Cam & Trixie): TRIGGERS: sex trafficking. While at the bachelor party for Quinn, Cam comes across Trixie. She's one of the beautiful strippers at the club they chose to visit that night. Instant attraction forces Cam to step in when another patron gets a little handsy. Trixie is one of the club's best dancers but what they don't know is that she's undercover. But her worst mistake is falling in love with the cocky football player who believes she's just a stripper. This wasn't my favorite book of the series. I liked that Trixie is a kick ass female who was raised by strong men. I just didn't like that she kept lying to Cam as if he couldn't handle the truth. I also didn't like how she kept pushing him away. But like the other Max Monroe books, the characters were really perfect for each other and they had some really sexy scenes.

I really enjoyed this! This were definitely some slow spots and some parts of the story struck me a little funny but mostly I had a good time with it.

I read the first book in this series a while ago and I really enjoyed it but I didn't feel the need to immediately read the next book. However, when I was trying to come up with a romance book to read that I was confident I would enjoy, this series came to mind and I'm glad I read this next book. In many ways, it's easier to me to read football sports romance than hockey because I know less about football as an industry so I'm less nit-picky. I think that really helped me with my enjoyment of this story.

I liked the characters of Matt and Noah. I thought that they worked together well though they weren't the most original I would say. That's not usually a problem for me when I read romance so I was still able to enjoy them. I thought the development of their relationship was pretty good though a bit jumpy at certain parts. Without giving too much away, it felt like there were times they should have been on the same page but they weren't just for needless conflict.

I also enjoyed the interaction that both Noah and Matt had with the other people in their lives, whether that be family members or teammates. I don't really want to read about aggressive homophobia too much in my romances because it hits a bit too close to home but I also don't love when authors brush over the issue entirely, especially in MM sports romances when I know that mens professional sports can be incredibly toxic. I thought Finley did a good job discussing the conflict between teammates and family without lingering too much.

This book definitely got me interested in the next couple of books in the series so I will probably pick those up soonish. I'm especially excited for Miller and Talons book. I would recommend this book as a good followup and continuation of book 1.

I love Iggy Toma but I don't think I'm a fan of Alexander Cendese. His voice reminds me too much of the guy who did the THIRDS books, and boy did that man's voice annoy me to hell.

    Story: 3.5
This was a solid romance with great characters. There was drama but it didn't morph into a soap opera (for which I was grateful). All in all an entertaining read.

This was more a sister story than a sequel to the first book in this series. They have many of the same characters, but the main protagonists change. This one flows Noah and Matt. Noah is the biracial son of a rich politician... he's also gay, so of course his father uses his mixed race and sexual orientation as a campaign tactic, which Noah clearly resents. As a way of irritating his father he agrees to be the fake boyfriend of Matt. Matt is a pro football player who was forcefully outted by the tabloid media. He loses his job with his current team on a morality cause, but everyone knows he was because Matt is gay. hHis friend and agent Damon convinces him that he needs to clean up his image and portray himself as someone in a relationship rather than a guy who has random hook-ups at clubs.Matt and Noah struggle to be fake boyfriend, mostly because they are both attracted to one another and it frightens them. What I liked about this book was the backstory for the main characters as well as the struggle. Again, it wasn't overly angsty. There was time to develop the plot and relationship without it being too quick or drag on too long. Very good narration; I felt the characters come through.
