About this audiobook

Carly Smith came by her trust issues honestly. A victim of sex trafficking, she's been at the mercy of merciless men, ignored by law enforcement officers who should have helped her, and seemingly rejected by her family. She can't even trust herself to do the right thing. Though she escaped her captors and is working hard on building a new life, the past continues to haunt her when she discovers that the man she couldn't bring herself to report to the police for fear of reliving her captivity is still out there, luring vulnerable girls under the guise of being a modeling agent.

When her own niece is kidnapped, Carly must overcome her fears and come forward with the information she has before it's too late. When that proves to be not enough, she'll have to go after the perpetrators herself.

Award-winning author Patricia Bradley keeps the suspense taut and the stakes high in this fast-paced story that will have fans listening long into the night.

2.5-2.75 stars (rating shown may differ depending on whether site allows half star ratings.I have read this author previously and even this series previously, but this book never pulled me in. The author starts off with two sisters reuniting--that part did make me care about Carly and I was looking forward to her reuniting with at least part of her family. Instead, Lia dies--so no more family reunion. And from there on, the story just fell flat for me.Carly's niece appears to be 11 or so once the chapters get going--and the "modeling agent" seems to prey more on 17 year olds. So there's a disconnect there, even if Heather, Jenna, and Alexis end up in the same situation. Gigi and Frank aren't sympathetic characters from either Heather/Carly's POV or in how they're trying to manipulate David and Alexis. So it's tough to care about any of them either. Honestly, I found myself avoiding picking up this book and chose to give up on it.

Wow, what a read, from beginning to end a compelling page turner, you never know from one page to the next what is going to happen.Story could be on the front page, so terrible and it happens all the time, but we put names to these individuals some of whom have been hurt and others the perpetrators of evil. One of our main characters, Carley, had worked hard to put her life back together, by the Grace of God she is functioning and not only that she is now in a position to help those whom have also been betrayed.Surprises abound when the masks come off, and things are revealed, and yes, I guessed some of them, but not all! This is a quick pace book, and you sure won’t be bored!I received this book through LibraryThing, and was not required to give a positive review.

Stolen from her life as a teenager, Carly Smith allows fear to keep her from returning. Still, when she learns of her sister’s death, as well as the kidnapping of her niece, she realizes she has no choice but to confront what has long haunted her.The fourth book in Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case series, Justice Delivered shares a story of frightening, yet realistic situations, questions of trust, and ultimately, not one, but two romances. There are several perspectives used to tell the story, which felt like a bit much to me, at times, but it is still entertaining with all its suspense, mystery, action, and drama.I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.

This was my first Patricia Bradley book. I'm not a huge fan of Christian fiction, which I didn't realize this was when I choose it but it became obvious fairly quickly...not the first time I made the mistake. Story was interesting enough but no real wow factor to it.

Justice Delivered is the fourth novel in Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case series. As with the other novels in the series, it can be read as a standalone book – you don’t need to have read the other books to enjoy this one. I won this book from LibraryThing in return for an honest review. The author does a great job of dealing with a difficult topic – human trafficking. The characters are realistic – the mystery is great. The author does a fantastic job of building the suspense – and then resolving it a little at a time to keep the reader hooked. I have read all of the books in this series – and this is probably my favorite. I was afraid that the idea of human trafficking could make it hard to read – but Ms. Bradley handled the topic in a way that let the reader know about the issues – but didn’t make it too uncomfortable to read the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspenseful romance.

Wonderful suspense filled book in the Memphis Cold Case series. With most books I like to read them in order but this one could easily be read as a stand alone book. If you decide to read the others which are as good as this one you won't receive any spoilers that will ruin the books for you when you do decide to read them. This book is about a woman, Heather as a teen was kidnapped and forced into prostitution for 8 years. While in bondage her captors gave he the name Jasmine. When she was able to escape and make a new life for herself she reinvents herself and gives herself a new name of Carly. She has done well for herself and has even gotten a college education and works as a drug abuse counselor. She is concerned that her traffickers are still at it and travels to Memphis to get some closure. She does not realize that by asking questions she puts herself and her loved ones in danger. Her niece is kidnapped and it is a race of time to rescue her before the unthinkable happens to her niece.

Title: Justice Delivered (A Memphis Cold Case #4)Author: Patricia BradleyPages: 368Year: 2019Publisher: RevellMy rating: 5 out of 5 stars. What an exciting novel in the series! The other novels in the series include: Justice Delayed, Justice Betrayed, and Justice Betrayed. Each novel may be a stand alone but reading them all makes this perhaps last installment richer for readers. In Justice Delivered, my heart pounded as I read about women being caught and trafficked, along with a character dealing with fears after being freed. The female character was named Jaz by her captor. Some women would go out to the streets, offering others a way out.Jaz not only had fears to overcome but wondered if she would ever be free of watching her back. What Jaz faces, with the help of others, and her determination to see that no one else suffers as she did brings such a heart-gripping story. Plus, readers will empathize with the character as she learns to forgive those who did wrong and heals from multiple attempts on her life.Patricia Bradley offers her audiences a very suspense-filled tale that will take readers on an exciting ride! The heart of the novel includes threads of defeating fear and wrestling through living a life of forgiveness even when it is so very difficult. I loved how Jaz becomes a conqueror no matter how many times she is hurt or knocked down. Plus, I love how Patricia Bradley takes readers through dark times to ones of hope and a future filled with promises!Read all the novels of the series as they are exciting, faith-filled and suspense to the max!Note: I received a complimentary copy for an honest review of this book. The opinions shared in this review are solely my responsibility.

This story was scary because it was so real. Although the topic is sex trafficking, the author keeps the level of detail at a high enough level that that read is clean. The story is about Carly Smith who is a survivor. Due to some circumstances (I won't mention here because of spoilers), Carly begins to seek the men who abducted and sold her in order to protect others from the same experience. This leads her and those close to her into danger. She has a healthy paranoia and works to ensure she is protected through security measures. She has kept herself isolated from relationships for a period of years and through the course of the story begins to open herself up to others. I really enjoyed the characters and to story line for this book. The author does a great job with character development and you feel connected to them in the book. The pace is good and keeps you moving quickly through the story line. Although I had not previously read the other books in the series, I intend to go back and read them since I enjoyed this one. Reader received a complimentary copy from Library Thing Early Reviewers.

I read Justice Betrayed and gave it 5 stars. I would have given this one six stars if I could. Ms. Bradley never disappoints me, and this is a well written mystery. I was given this book through LT for my honest review.

This is a great book. The story pulled me in right away and I finished it almost in one sitting. The story is very fast paced, holding your interest as you try to keep up with everything while trying to sort out the good guys from the bad. The characters are well developed and I really felt myself getting invested in them and caring what would happen to them. If you enjoy a good mystery, you should definitely read this!

Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley is about a woman, Carly Smith, who is seeking to find the men who abducted, sold, and trafficked her years prior to make sure that justice is served and to protect other girls from enduring what she had endured. Her search leads to danger, not just for her but for those close to her. I really enjoyed reading this book. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. Although it does deal with sex trafficking, it is a clean read. The topic is handled well without being graphic. The characters are well-developed, likeable (at least the ones who are supposed to be likeable), and relatable. Carly’s struggle with forgiveness was also something that anyone who has been deeply hurt can relate to and understand, as is her struggle to trust and love. The story moves at a good pace, and when I finished the book, I found myself wanting to read the other books in the Memphis Cold Case series (Justice Delayed, Justice Buried, and Justice Betrayed), so I picked them up today.*My thanks to the publisher for sending this book for early review. I was under no obligation to write a positive review, and all opinions stated above are my own.
