About this audiobook

"Jennifer L. Armentrout's intoxicating new fantasy is her best yet!" — New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter

Meet Trinity Marrow, a girl with an explosive secret whose hiding place has just been discovered…

Eighteen-year-old Trinity Marrow may be going blind, but she can see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. Her gift is the reason she’s been in hiding for years in a compound guarded by Wardens—shape-shifters who protect humankind from demons. If the demons discover the truth about Trinity, they’ll devour her to enhance their powers.

When Wardens from another clan arrive with reports that something is killing both demons and Wardens, Trinity’s world implodes. Not the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she’s ever met. Zayne has secrets of his own—but working together becomes imperative once demons breach the compound and Trinity’s secret comes to light. To save her family and maybe the world, she’ll have to trust Zayne. But all bets are off as a supernatural war is unleashed…

This is the first book I've read from Jennifer Armentrout and I am thoroughly amazed! The lore, the characters, the settings! Everything is perfect! Can't wait to read the next book! And more of her work!

The story seemed a bit slow. The betrayal at the end didn’t make a lot of sense and also seemed overly simplistic. I don’t know if I am just used to more complex YA fantasy plots, but this one fell flat for me. The “connection” between her and Zane was hardly surprising or very intriguing.

Storm and Fury has made me realise how much I've missed this world!

I loved the spin on Trinity. I couldn't see where this was going with her powers but I did know she was a lot more powerful than everyone else and it makes sense that she's the opposite of Layla from Dark Elements. I adored the Dark Elements series, but I think this one is winning the race so far.

Knowing Zayne from the Dark Elements series had me rooting for him from the get-go. Trinity is the perfect match for Zayne and they both equal each other out so well. Trinity is fiesty which Jennifer does so well with her female characters. Zayne is compassionate and fully supportive of anything Trinity wants to do. Both characters show their flaws which make them that much more perfect in my eyes.

The action-packed demon fights were right up my alley and it was great seeing Layla and Roth involved a fair bit in this coming together. I was surprised about the reveal and the story behind it but I am very intrigued to see where this goes.

From the first chapter, I knew I would like the FMC, funny, sassy, and whoops, kicked a guy out a window fierce.

I love the way we are kept in the dark of what she is just as much as others in the community they live in. It felt confusing but also kept me from focusing on what I should have seen coming. I'm still shocked at the turn of events! And so much happened. I mean so much!!! But it didn't feel rushed or sloppy. It was surprising how I felt sad. I finished the book. Then joy, cause it's part of a series, so woohoo for me!!!

This book had me laughing out loud, in a on the bus then suddenly I'm gasping my tummy laughing and people watching ? me wondering if it's safe to be around me, type of laughing. I also cried, even when the FMC wasn't crying, but my heart just cracked for her at some moments.

The MMCs well, you should know there is a previous storyline. I've not read it, and I did not feel the need to go back and pick it up. Anyway Zane well he has a back story, and one day, I may read it. But really, I'm just hoping it will be truly ok in the end.
Misha, well...it's one of those slap in the faces, and the blurry glasses come off moments.

Then there's the ghosts, e.g. Peanut! I love peanut!!! I love Trinity's relationship with Peanut, and I love how she helps them.

To sum up, I was like, wow, when this book ended and now I'm scared the next book in the series will let me down...and I don't even know what I want to happen ?

Oh, and no smut, but heated moments and moments spicy enough to be everything but smut!

Thanks Scribd! I LOVED this book. So excited to start the next.
Great mix of comedy and intrigue. I caught myself laughing out loud several times. Friendship/relationship/character development was on point. I enjoyed the fantasy element set in current times.
Narration was great! I listen to a LOT of audio books and so far this narrator is one of my favorites ?

Under attack people dying, things are desperate. The main character in the meanwhile is focused on the bread of sweat trickling the pecks of her love interest....

After starting this I was like wait did I miss some books.....and yes but no. It is its own but it will spoil the Dark elements for you. Which is a bummer lol it was in my TBR. ?

But other than all the questions this book read more like Laini Taylor to me so if you like a daughter of smoke and bone I definitely think this would be up your ally.

Slow burn ? I hate slow burns and forbidden loves ? ?‍♀️ just in my opinion.

But I'm a sucker for angel and demon books so we'll see where this goes

Jennifer Armentrout is a very persistent and tenacious author. I have enjoyed her covenant series and Titan spin-off and Storm and Fury has me on fire once again. Loved it!

Definitely an interesting story although the main character, Trinity, could be incredibly annoying. I also don’t know why they made her semi-blind because it did not add to her depth of character. Perhaps the sequels will make the reason more evident.

I did not enjoy the book. The twist was quite clear and nothing really happened throughout the book.

The protagonist acts like a spoilt brat and is quick to play the victim. I could see why her first protector didn't like her
