      I am still enjoying this series and it is moving along in a different direction that the other series I feel it was similar to in the beginning. Action packed and adventurous with some romance and intrigue.

      So this is the third in the series of My Blood Approves. It picks up where the other left off. Peter has jumped ship - again - but this time my heart was sad to see him go. I feel sooo bad for that boy. Alice is trying to get a handle on her bloodlust in order to take her relationship with Jack to the next level. Milo has a boyfriend. Soooo then Alice goes with Ezra to save Peter from some lycans (no not werewolves but vampires who live like animals with no humanity left in them). Ezra makes a big sacrifice in order to save Peter and they ALL come home. This book was full of twists and turns that I very much liked. The stressed that is induced for Jack and his jealousy and Alice and her struggle to define how she actually feels about Peter is nice. I was still sad to see that Alice was still mopey and whiney but she wasn't near as bad as in the 2nd book. The action scene(s) were a good add to the storyline but I wished there'd have been more detail included in them. They were sort of lagging in actual action but still good for the plot. They came to get revenge on Peter but Why? I thought that Ezra had handled that...I don't know. Plus Leif decided to leave the Lycan pack because of something to do with Alice...but Why? Olivia was back in this one too and even says that she would do anything for Alice. Which has me wondering: Why? Also Mae is apparently threatened by Alice but Why? There are now a whole bunch of questions that I would like answered and hope that there will be more than just 4 in this series. I am afraid that if all loose ends try to get solved in one book it would be devastating to the series. I am still waiting on some error proofing as the grammatics need help. However it won't keep me from continuing with the series...just hinders me from being able to give it 5 stars.

      Somehow, my view of this book/series just took a nose dive. I still believe that Hocking is a very talented writer, she has some great thoughts and the premise behind this story is very good - something different from the standard girl meets vampire story. THAT I like very much. But, maybe I'm just a fair weather friend, because when something happens in the story that I don't like, I lose interest. Mae is really starting to bother me. She seemed like the mother that Alice never had and now? She's gone off the deep end. I'm not saying that people don't just SNAP and suddenly change their whole behavior and attitude, but Mae's behavior is just so out of character (at least the character that Hocking created in the first two novels). Mae simply seems to have lost interest in Alice and almost can't stand to be near her. What's with that? I know she's devastated by losing that last remains of her living family and I can understand how she would be distraught, but something just seems off about her character and makes me feel like it is not believable anymore. Also, I just don't get why Peter is so totally in love with Alice. He hasn't spoken two words to her. If it's related to the 'bond' that they shared, then why was he getting so upset with Alice for only liking him because she 'had to' not because she actually wanted to like him - isn't that the same thing he's doing with Alice? Because he can't possibly be in love with her because he wants to - he doesn't know her yet. He's such a hypocrite! Okay, I don't want to sound like this book is all bad - it's not. I enjoyed it a lot. I like the story line, the idea that there can be a bond and what happens when personal desire is in conflict with that animalistic love that is created with the vampire bond. Also, the idea that sometimes we make choices that we can't explain (like when Alice kisses Peter or when Mae accidentally killed Jack and didn't ever tell him the truth until much later). These all make for tension and interest and make the story exciting! Also, I've enjoyed getting to know Bobby more and more and Milo seems to be coming to terms with himself as a vampire and as someone who is gay. I like Ezra's character too. He's a firm individual who stands up for what he believes but does so as lovingly as he can. I will read the final book in this set, but only after I read the third book in Hocking's Trylle Trilogy - which I've been patiently awaiting. I really enjoy that series too - probably more.

      hmmm, the series has been progressively focusing on the more sexual aspects of the relationships of the characters. i found myself drifting out of interest for the most part. however, i did enjoy the parts that included some vampire fighting action. :] that part was written well enough that i almost lost my appetite for dinner right after reading it. lol so for those parts, i give this 3 stars, but i hope the fourth one is... less sexy? lol

      Flutter...well, I just had to know what was going to happen to Alice and Jack and Peter. I was still bothered by some chapters that seemed to be frivolous, but on to book 4 I go.

      I had hopes that I'd start liking Alice more by this point. Sadly, she still annoys the crap out of me. I did, however, enjoy the story more than I did the first two. There was actually some meat to it. I am looking forward to the next book to see what comes of it.I'm starting to really like Peter as well. It took me a while to warm up to him, but he's growing on me. I still think the series, with all the teen-age angst, is Twilight without the glitter.

      I'm reading this series so fast that all the books are starting to blur together! But that's not necessarily a bad thing. There is so much going in in this book, I don't even know where to begin or end. But here I go anyway.... From the description it's obvious that Alice has ventured to the point of no return. But we all knew that was inevitable. In this book she's struggling with trying to get a handle on her new life and accepting everything that's going on around her. She leaves the country with Ezra and encounters a danger she didn't even know existed, one that her and her family can't necessarily shake off easily. When they return to the states, she ends up facing more problems than she can probably even handle, convinced that she is bad luck. Her best friend has become a "blood whore" junky of sorts, and she's left to contend with that. Also, just when she thinks she has her relationship worked out with one guy, the other comes along and messes with her emotions, therefore possibly ruining everything (I still don't even know who I ultimately want her to end up with!). At the end of the book she, along with everyone she cares about, is put in mortal (or immortal?) danger. She soon finds out how many are willing to risk their lives to protect her, along with who she's willing to go out on a limb for. They manage to get through it, only to arrive back at home to another issue- thus causing me to want to stay up all night and read the next book, just to see what else could possibly be added to the excitement!

      Alice is now a vampire. She has to work hard to control her blood lust, but she's a bit more in control every day. At the beginning of the novel, she volunteers to join Ezra on a trip to Finland to rescue Peter. Peter has infuriated a group of lycan vampires (uncivilized monsters) so they will kill him and free him from the pain of losing Alice. Peter, Alice, and Ezra return, but they are changed by the encounter. Meanwhile, Milo has a human boyfriend who is almost in every single scene in Flutter. Alice doesn't like him very much at first, but she accepts him as her brother's choice. Jane has become a blood whore and needs constant saving to keep her alive. I understand why Alice feels she owes Jane, but I reached a point where I no longer cared about her and was ready for her to just go away. She almost dies, gets rescued, and then only cares about her hair, makeup, and clothes again. Shouldn't a near-death experience make her a bit less shallow? Mae and Ezra are fighting, because Mae wants to turn her great granddaughter to a vampire because she is terminally ill (and is only 5 years old). Ezra believes child vampires are unnatural and tells Mae that if she turns Daisy, she will have to leave him. This causes Mae to remove herself from everyone and become a whiney, overly emotional mess. Mae and Ezra don't appear to be together anymore, and as hard as it is on Ezra, I'm hoping it will stay that way. By the end of the book, I was so upset with Mae that I truly hope she sticks to her plan and stays away from the family. Let's talk about Alice and Jack. She's made her choice, and it's Jack, but Peter still complicates everything. Apparently, he really loves Alice. (He not only says that but repeatedly puts her first and even wants to die for her.) As romantic as this is, it's not very believable. Why does he love her so much? Their bond is broken, so it's not that, but what is it? He doesn't even know her, yet he says he loves her more than he's ever loved anyone. Meanwhile, Jack tells her that she could kill him and he'll still forgive her. I'm wondering why Alice is so special. Even Olivia is taken with her. There must be some explanation, because otherwise this is really becoming ridiculous. The love triangle has run its course. I do not believe these two brothers continue fighting over her for no reason. Jack acts like a jealous, selfish jerk in this book, and I am not rooting for him as the hero at all. He's childish and selfish, and I think Peter makes a much more interesting hero. In fact, he's the only reason I continue reading this series. The first book reminded me of Twilight, but now the books are reminding me more and more of the Vampire Academy series. (Check out my reviews of the series; I really loved them and highly recommend them.) As much as I loved VA, though, I need something a bit more unique. I'm hoping the 4th book, Wicked, will take the series back to what made it so good at the beginning. And for the final book, I'm still holding out for Peter. He and Ezra are the best characters in the series.

      I like this series. I am reading all these books and they are starting to run into each other, there really isn't anything that sets them apart, or at least anything that I can remember about them.

      There is a lot more action in this third installment of My Blood Approves. Milo has developed quite an interesting love life, while Alice and Jack continue to try and define theirs. After Ezra and Alice bring Peter back home, the gray areas of love seem to crop up for Alice and Peter. I must say I was glad to get more of Peter in this book. There is just something about him and his self sacrifice I started to admire. Although, I am not a fan of his quiet way of dealing with his problems and running away. I found myself with the first twinges of regret that he was not honest with Alice from the beginning. The lines between Team Jack and Team Peter started to blur for me.Flutter introduces a new character that is intriguing, and I hope he sticks around. We also get to know some other minor characters better like Jane. I never saw this side of her coming, but I'm pleasantly surprised! The issue between Mae and Ezra was sad and made me wonder about the vampire blood bonded couples. The choice that Mae makes isn't what I had hoped for and I was quite disappointed in her for making it. But, it does make for good reading and a segue into the the next book. On Twitter, I had asked the author, Amanda Hocking, how it would be possible for Mae to make a decision that may go against her blood bond with Ezra. She said that there is always free will. OK, I get that, but I don't have to like it, especially when the character is being stupid.I would recommend this book, as well as the two previous books in the series. Again, Ms. Hocking has left me on the edge of my sofa ready to see how this all plays out.

      This was a fantastic follow on from Fate & another awesome book by Amanda Hocking.

      This continues to follow a love triangle with Alice, Jack & Peter. Alice has chosen Jack, but continues to struggle with her feelings for Peter. Now that Alice is a full fledged vampire, she is struggling with her bloodlust for Jack & trying to stay in control.

      Peter has disappeared & news comes over that he is getting into trouble with the wrong crowd. On a suicidal mission with a pack of rogue vampires.

      Ezra & Alice travel to track him down & save him from this pack. It doesn't turn out too well with Ezra trading his life for Peters. They escape back home only to be tracked by the pack.

      Mae is also on a mission to turn her great-granddaughter whom is terminally ill.

      There is a lot going on in this one, full of mystery & action. Another fantastic book in the series. Final book to follow is Wisdom.
