About this ebook
If you're over 40 - and especially if you're female - this book is for you! Stress has been named the #1 Silent Killer, and this book provides de-stressing essentials you won't find anywhere else: what stress really is, how to protect your health, and simple, quick ways to relieve stress and bring your body back into balance.
Everything you've read about stress, and all the practices around it, only deal with half the stress equation: the *emotional* part. Meanwhile, *physical* stress has been piling up in your body for years.
Long-Term Stress triggers a physical chain reaction in your body, and once that gets started, the usual "stress relief" tools - which deal only with the emotional aspects - will not stop it.
You can be meditating, tapping, or lying on the beach, but that chain reaction just keeps going. This book will help you evaluate where you are on the Long-Term Stress Scale, and gives you real-world tools and practices to stop that physical chain reaction once and for all.
"How To De-Stress" provides critical information you won't find anywhere else. The author shares insights she gained while rebuilding her own health after decades of stress, based on solid medical and scientific principles. She is a scientist who spent nearly 25 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
This book reveals what the media is not saying, what your doctor isn't telling you, and what you really *need* to know about stress and Long-Term Stress. It guides you through proven steps and life-changing practices that will help you find freedom.
Diana Lees
Diana Lees was born in 1958 to a social worker mother (the product of 3 generations of missionaries in Japan) and an agnostic, physicist father. This unlikely union led to the nurturing of Diana's scientific mind as well as her deep, inner commitment to the divine. After decades of involvement with pharmaceutical science, she left the mainstream in 2002 to deepen her connection to her inner truth. During 10 years of country living, she found herself exploring alternative medicine more and more deeply, and discovered that many of her scientific preconceptions were hogwash. In 2011, a chance introduction to a highly respected Naturopathic Doctor led Diana to realize that a puzzling, seemingly unrelated set of lifelong health issues were actually the symptoms of a single condition - Long-Term Stress (LTS). Though Diana never envisioned herself as an author, this realization was so profound, and has such far-reaching implications, that she has made it her mission to stand up and tell the world about Long-Term Stress. She now teaches others to recognize and relieve the effects of LTS, which has been described as the #1 silent killer. Diana lives with her husband and a variety of animals in the lush desert near Tucson, Arizona.

About The Author
Chapter 1: Why I Wrote This Book
Why did I write this book?
The short answer: Outrage.
The story you’re about to read is true. It’s about me…but it is likely also about you.
Last summer, I was horrified to discover that I was really sick.
It was one of those invisible illnesses – the kind you live with, without realizing it, until it leaps out of the closet and bites you…so to speak. Luckily for me, I discovered it before I landed on the doctor’s examination table, wondering what the heck was happening to me.
What’s more, I immediately understood that I’d been sick like this for a long time, and nobody had known it. The symptoms were right there, plain as day … if anyone had known what they were seeing, that is.
But nobody did.
Not me. Not my doctors. Not my health-savvy friends.
Nobody.
I was suffering from Long-Term Stress.
When I first learned this, I felt like I was alone, but as I began to learn more about it I realized that thousands, even millions of others also suffer from Long-Term Stress (LTS).
It’s a silent epidemic… in America, and throughout the world!
As I’ve started speaking about my own experience with LTS, I’m amazed to find that almost every person I meet knows someone who has the same symptoms I had! And yet, it’s not being talked about - anywhere.
Sure, you hear about stress
in the media. But what you don’t hear…what you NEED to hear…is in this book:
1. What Long-Term Stress is
2. How to recognize it
3. What it will do to you
4. What you can do about it.
So how did I finally become aware of this? It
