Unless you can take full responsibility for where you are now, you will never fully have control over where you are going.

Many people do not like to hear that. They feel much more comfortable pointing at external factors and placing the blame for their situation outside of themselves. Society has given these people plenty of ammunition to support whatever beliefs of being limited they may have. Most people, however, do not do well by living in reaction. They consider themselves victims. They believe they were dealt a bad hand. Or worse, they simply do not believe they deserve the absolute best that life has to offer.

If we were really controlled by external situations, it would mean that we really have no freedom to decide our own destiny. It would mean that our environment was the ultimate deciding factor as to whether we would succeed or fail. We would simply be reacting our way through life. Yes most people play the blame game… feeling victimized by life but this mindset is guaranteed to get you to just one destination… NOWHERE.

But do you honestly believe that we were put here on this planet to simply react to our environment bouncing around like meaningless billiard balls on a snooker table?

You are deserving of whatever you want.

When you begin to understand that everything in creation is based on a system of energy and when you learn some very basic things about how this energy behaves, you will begin to unleash a creative force in your life that will seem miraculous.

Using these principles I went from having less than no money, to attracting a six-figure income inside of one year. Does that sound attractive to you? But money is just the tip of the iceberg.

I have probably been where you may be now. I wasted many years clinging to wanting to be right about how hard things are and justifying how bad my financial situation was thus attracting into my life more of exactly what I so desperately wanted to get rid of. If you don’t change your thinking, everything in your life will continue to be exactly the same as it always has been. Because you will not allow your thinking to shift. Your belief system, the one that you're so comfortable with, and yet has so far failed to deliver you a life of unbridled joy and abundance will stay intact. Know this: that it was and is your very best thinking that has got you to this point in your life. Give yourself permission to understand that sometimes the things that seem the most unbelievable are what end up being true, (look at history) then you're opening a door to a whole new world of possibility.

There is a force at work in your life, and in the life of every being in the Universe. This force is absolutely at the root of what your life is. Every aspect of your life - your financial situation, your relationships, your state of mind - EVERYTHING - it's all the way it is because of this one relatively simple physical principle. And the best part is - and this is what you may find hard to believe at first you are in absolute control over how this principle works in your life.

Here is all the science you need to know, and just about any recent book on Quantum Physics you can find today will support this undeniably:

Everything in this Universe - even that which appears to be empty space is Energy. That includes you, me, your pet rabbit, and even (and especially) your thoughts and feelings. You know atoms, molecules, subatomic particles...that kind of quantum stuff. All Energy vibrates at a certain frequency. Depending on the rate of the frequency, we experience Energy in different ways. When something vibrates at a certain frequency, it naturally resonates with and attracts things with the same frequency. You literally attract that evidence through your thoughts and feelings, because it is your thoughts and feelings that determine your vibration which in turn determines what you are able to attract!

You see, if you feel impoverished, then you are vibrating poverty. The Universe can only respond by bringing to you through people and circumstances, more poverty… because that's what you're in vibrational resonance with. It would be a physical impossibility for you to be anything other than poor, when you are emitting vibrations of poor or lack. The Universal Laws do not bend. They are consistent with everyone, all the time. And therein lies their power.

1 A New Definition of Success?

The late great Earl Nightingale the founder of the current Nightingale-Conant Corporation the largest success, motivation, audio company on the planet was fond of defining success as the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal. For years I have written this up on blackboards in seminars around the world and it is true but the above quote from Abraham has expanded my awareness somewhat. Deepak Chopra has expanded Earl’s quote by adding and the continued expansion of happiness.

So it is possible to achieve your goals and make progress towards them and be successful but not be happy and that’s the point. A more encompassing definition is Abrahams. Don’t you agree?

After all your greatest obligation and gift to others is your own happiness. Why is this? Because if you are a happy and joyous person you are successful with regards to our original definition and you are achieving your goals and living your life by design. When you are in a state of joy or appreciation you are connected to the Stream of Source Energy that is truly who-you-are – and anything or anyone that you are holding as your object of attention benefits from your attention.

Your prime goal is to be happy, to reach for the joy and when you do that all the other ingredients to success will follow and fall nicely into place. Once you consciously identify your current state of emotion, it will become easier for you to understand whether you are choosing thoughts that move you closer to your goals or further away. If you will make the improved feeling or emotion your real goal, then anything and everything that you want will quickly show up in your world via the right people, the right circumstances and the right resources that will facilitate the achievement of your desired outcome.

So success is really about the joy and happiness you feel. Whenever you are genuinely thrilled by someone else’s success, that means you are right on the track of your own success. Success is never about getting it done. I wonder about the guys who teach seminars with titles like You Can Have it All. That’s simply not true. Think about it. You can’t have everything, you can’t have it all because once you do get close then new desires are born in you and once again you’re off on a new creative manifestation. You can’t have it all and you can’t get it all done; the measure of success is not in the attainment of the money or the goal or the stuff… the true measure of success is absolutely in the amount of joy and happiness you feel.

You can never get there to that place of having it all, you can never get it all done because you cannot ever cease to be, and you cannot halt your ever-expanding awareness. So out of your awareness will be born another desire, another asking and with each desire and asking via The Law of Attraction will always summon another answering, another manifestation. Your eternal nature is of expansion and in that expansion is the potential for unspeakable joy.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote several poems on success. One of his measures of success in that poem was to, Leave the world a bit better. That poignant line holds the key to a rewarding and fulfilling life. Emerson said you have succeeded if you leave the world a bit better. It’s a good idea to make that line a part of our life philosophy.

"When the tide goes out there is a watermark where the water was. When the waters of life recede from the shore of my being and my heart pumps for the last time, my desire is that there will be a mark where I stood. My aim is that the mark will say, For some decades a man occupied this space who saw others more important than himself and afforded to leave the world a better place for them and those yet to come."

The world culture tells us that success is measured by bank accounts, material rewards, power, and wealth. These are often the result of hard work, focus and commitment to a passionate purpose. This is a worthy endeavor; however, they are not the sole mark that we will measure the success of our lives. Contribution to a worthy cause leads to fulfillment.

Or you can amass as much wealth as you can, spend it as fast as you can on the fading desires of your heart and seek to please you first. This is a trap that many celebrities in the entertainment world fall into. The world culture might tell you that this is success. Emerson tells us that it is not. I encourage you to realize that the waters of your life will eventually withdraw from the shore. And when they do, the only question that we could ask is: will there be a watermark?

The Law of Attraction attracts to you everything you need, according to the nature of your thought. Your environment and financial condition are the perfect reflection of your habitual thinking. Thought rules the world.
