    I started writing for children in 2001. I've written many short stories, poems and I'm still writing my ‘masterpiece’ a fantasy novel for children. I published 'The Gingerbread Rapper' and 'Tommy Tomkins and the Snowdog' in September 2010 and have sold over 1000 copies of each! My ideas and inspiration come from years spent as a classroom teacher and reading stories to children. ‘If it makes me laugh...it normally makes them giggle too!’My illustrator is a very talented lady called Rachel Cooper. I am currently available for author visits or writing workshops. Some quotes about me and my work: ‘Tommy Tomkins and the Snowdog was a really good book. We enjoyed it as a family.’ Rachel Howe, parent from St. Andrew’s, Soham. ‘The rapping and workshop were really funny. It was imaginative how they tried to melt the snowdog.’ Eve Henderson, pupil. Author, Jon Bridgeman, easily kept the pupils at Kennett School entertained for an hour with his interactive story telling and lively descriptions of his life as a writer. He brought the books he had written to life and engaged all present from the new reception children through to the 'well established' Year 6 (and the staff!).
