      The subjects covered herein might be a problem for some people to manage because they are extreme. The extraordinary nature of this material is the reason why this writer has waited so long to deal with this topic. Deep down inside I never wanted to write on this subject. My experiences in pondering the universe have been a little scary because the truth has little to do with what the UFOers of the world expect, nor has our fiction writers come close. In fact the real scientists of the world still do not get it either. Another reason I have for years avoided writing this book is that humans by instinct are extremely paranoid. When faced with the unknown, or if we feel threatened, our common human sense leaves us and all that is left is instinct. We run or become violent or even worse, slip into denial. You are reading this book so you are daring to face your own paranoia. The only promise I can make is that what you are about to read is unlikely what you are expecting. This book is about the Great Human Quantum Leap. What it is and why it is happening. Agreeing with this writer or believing in the Leap is not a requirement of reading this book because there maybe as many as two to seven generations before the reality of the Leap manifest itself. What is written here is to correct a few misunderstandings, to ponder the possibilities and to separate out reality from the fiction. Originally, that is all this book was supposed to be about.

      What I did not expect and what took this author by complete surprise were book reviews and critics who used the phase New Age Book. I have to confess I never saw that coming. The reason why is because I neither read nor write in that genre. The genre has never held any interests for me and when I hear people speaking of it, it always seems a bit odd. This is not a New Age book. This is a book about reasons why things happen the way they do and how Josh and I got involved; why are we being visited, and what they are looking for or want from us? It is also about how the universe works, as compared to how modern science believes it works, or how science fiction would have you believe it works. In the beginning however, it is all about how Josh and I met; some of our shared experiences that brought about a bond of friendship and then it gets weird. When I suggest weird I mean some of Josh's experiences and stories are simply unbelievable. After that, in the first edition it became so technical that I edited most of the material out. Why you ask? Because highly educated people who teach at universities reviewed it and said, they had to read it five times before they got it. Now however, I am putting some back and I am wishing all my readers, good luck with it. It is what it is and I am not looking for followers or people to sign-off on it. So long as I am, being as accurate as I possible can be I will feel no guilt.

      I listened to myself pitching this book to publishers and I felt like a freak. I was embarrassed to recognize words from my own mouth which echoed the endless ooze from late night media audiences and the UFO Culture. In my obviously subjective view, they belong to a very unusual group in which I have little interest. As a new author, who has traveled widely and whose first book was a fiction adventure, I have managed to meet quite a few such individuals. How and why that happen I have no clue. As I have told many friends, ...I was just sitting there and they showed up... I am generally not interested in stories of the strange and delirious, Aliens included. However, after viewing a program produced by one of North America’s top journalists, the late Peter Jennings, I decided to try to move forward with some short stories no matter how strange they are. Such stories have always given me headaches. Some of these stories are just wild and trying to explain elements of physics when one was a communications and journalism major can be painful. I know there are many out there just like me. However, certain groups in America and around the world are expelling very large sums of money on projects that have no hope of success. As for all who, like myself suffer head pain when faced with such tales, I suggest you get prepared for a migraine as I tell you some of the stories that were shared with me by Sergeant-Major Joshua Smith of the United States Marine Corps.

      Joshua Smith is not his real name. Revealing his name would be problematic at best and I care not to think about how ugly things will get if his real identity ever becomes public. From age 18 to 38 Josh, as his friends call him, was a Marine and a member of the American Military Intelligence Community. During that time Josh has seen the inside of more than 48 countries most of whom never knew he was there. He has held many non-commissioned ranks and would have gladly told you that he never took a test to go up in rank that he made E-5 three times, E-6 twice, and at age 38 held the retirement rank of Sergeant-Major. This book is at least part of his story.

      I wish I could say that this book is his entire story. I truly do not know his entire story. I only know what he shared with me. This book is also about my personal and very short experiences in the Marine Corps and how Josh and I became friends. I share these personal experiences only for people to understand how Josh and I came together. So the beginning is filled with some rather colorful and entertaining moments. It is a bit cavalier I know. I use to have nightmares about them but now I laugh like everyone else. There is also just the tiniest bit of disinformation in my opening stories. I know how easily and experienced investigator could track Josh down. I do not intend to make it easy for them and that is my only motive. It is possible that having contact with many of Josh’s Black Operations Platoon over the last 17 years, and listening to all their stories, I maybe attributing some things to Josh that I should not have. If I have I apologize. For the most part tracking members of the former Second Marine Corps’ Special Operations Platoon is impossible. The government will not even admit that they once existed. When I am successful in my tracking efforts many of the former members are not too happy to see me. Unless of course, I catch them in a bar after they have had a few drinks. Buying them some more generally eases the visit. Still, I always made a point of being certain I was nowhere to be seen when they woke up the next day. As in all work environments I try to put safety first. It is not safe meddling in the American Intelligence Community. It is truly unsafe dealing with field operatives who have literally dozens of confirmed kills. Joshua Smith and his Black Operations Platoon were all field operatives.

      I am also telling these stories because they are very good, if not truly strange. I have woven them together as best I can. In this, the second edition of the book I am also going to add some of what I originally deleted. I am also going to delete some material that some people got a very wrong impression from. Along the way, many might be surprised by what they learn. Some might like to learn a little more about how the American Government operates in the dark, or as Congress makes out their budgets, behind the Black Book. This is where Josh and his friends get their nick names; Black Operations or, Black Ops.

      You will in time read about very real individual(s) who were not born here on our world. They are a race(s) of individuals who are, as the book will explain, not human. They came here from out there. I will share some of their motivations as I understand them and more than a few secrets about their reasons for being here. Unfortunately or not, for those UFO paramours of the world I have almost nothing to offer. Yours is the world of mythologies. Be careful with your myths however, the people who protect black book operations believe the security they provide is worth their lives or yours. If they have to give their lives to protect it they will. If they have to take yours to protect it they will. I have learned the hard way that in the end what you know about this business is not important because the average person, and I am myself am very average, has no say in these matters. The United States has secrets that it keeps because it is not anyone’s business. The only thing someone on the outside can do is make wild guesses about things he or she will never ever know anything about. That is just the way it is so all who are truly interested should get use to not knowing; Oh – but if that were possible there would be no UFO culture, right?

      I honestly believe that the way things are being handled is the only way. We may grow old and be dead a hundred years before the society we leave behind benefits from unworldly contacts. We may kill each other off. The unworldly visitors will not lift a hand to stop it. We were on our own when they showed up, we still are, and no one mentioned in this book wants anything to do with changing that simply truth.

      So let it begin. Here is at least some of Joshua Smith’s stories. Beware the adult language. Marines are only polite when they are dressed in class A uniforms. The rest of the time they are working. Their talent for vulgarity is world-renowned and while I tried writing this with as little as possible, I had to stop avoiding all bad language because it just did not make sense. The Marines I let read this book in preparation for publication insisted that I not remove the language. So, adult language notwithstanding, here is some of what I know about the world of Josh Smith.

      One last note: I do firmly believe that if a real extraterrestrial showed up in anyone’s office, on their door step or at their university, and explain who they are in perfect English and where they are from, and how they got
