Crafts are my way of relaxing. My friends say they can tell how stressed I am by the number of craft projects I’m working on. I find nothing is more soothing than sitting at my craft table with music blaring as loud as the speakers can take—creating. I know I am not alone, many people share my love for crafting, and this book is dedicated to them.
I have enlisted the help of fellow crafter and friend Bobby Pearce, and we’ve compiled some of our favorite projects. We have carefully designed CRAFTY U to be fun for the entire family. In fact, that is exactly why I am doing this book—to inspire families to spend more time together—crafting!
u r crafty – i swear – u r
Many of the projects are super-simple, and many require materials you already have lying around the house. We’ve organized most of this book by season, but truthfully, you can do lots of these activities any day of the year.
I encourage you to experiment and adapt these projects to create your own crafts. There is plenty of room to express yourself and create your own works of art. We are only limited by our imaginations.
I hope you enjoy CRAFTY U as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together for you.

Kids & Crafts
A craft project is a great way for children to explore their creativity, build confidence, and learn how to express themselves. Doing crafts gives them a real sense of accomplishment: There is no better feeling in the world than when someone admires what you’ve made, and this is a wonderful gift to give a child. You benefit too: Crafts give you a whole other arena in which to have fun with your family.
And fun is the
