    Slave Prince is set in the town of Puteoli on the Bay of Naples during the reign of Emperor Vespasian; it tells of a young slave boy, taken and sold from Brittania. As the story progresses we learn of his background and follow his new life as companion to the only son of magistrate Lucius Eridanus Caprico. In Slave Prince S G Miles takes his popular writing in a new direction; he proves that he can turn his skills to very different scenarios. The style will be familiar to his readers; his ability to breathe life into characters whose fortunes become important to us. The author’s careful research results in a tale with a ring of authenticity, portraying life among the privileged classes of Roman society in a wealthy provincial town.
