"I blame all of this on Comic Sans."

I had never before seen a zombie book presented as this one was. It is basically a compilation of scraps of paper collected by random people throughout the entire apocalypse. Different remnants contain different voices of experience. I would recommend this novel.

This was so very cool! A sort of photographic World War Z (which I adored), Dead Inside pretends to be a collection of found items found in the US and UK during and after a world-wide zombie outbreak. Confessions, warnings and a couple of photographs tell a story of a people confused, angry, surprised, desperate and afraid. Creepy and compelling, this is a must-read for any zombie fans!Highly Recommeded!

Very good, quick read. It was engaging and easy to take in without too much mental effort. The pictures create a really nice immersive feeling as well.

Not a review exactlybut a complaint. The preview for this book is about 3 pages of text. the rest is table of contents and such. not enough to decide if I want it based on that and rather mixed reviews

This is an interesting collection of "found" notes from after the zombies overrun the country. It's got some swearing and violence, but I think it could work as a rec for older teens, and definitely for fans of stuff like 28 days later. Sadly, probably no good for middle school book talks because of the swearing and so on.

It's a really interesting idea, but it feels more like a coffee table book than anything else--because everything is pretty much anonymous, it can't tell more than a general story, and because all the notes are very short, it can't go into very much depth. It doesn't do anything particularly new in terms of thinking about a zombie attack and how people react to it--people are scared, people are dying, people are violent, and that's pretty much all we've got. It feels more like an introduction to an actual book than like a book itself.
