    Very unlikable novel.
    Emotionally abusive hero.
    Spineless heroine.

Vincenzo was no alpha hero..just a pathetic excuse of a man.

Horribly disgusting book. I had to read to see what all the bad reviews were about and I fully regret it. Worst book ever and I can’t comprehend how this made it to publishing. It doesn’t reflect the harlequin presents books I love and i wouldn’t even consider it a romance. Nothing more then a doormat woman being verbally abused while unconsciously hoping to have her abuser change. She should of divorced him and never looked back. And also NO means NO, there shouldn’t be any crude sexual putdowns or displays of persuasion.

That was a really hard book to finish. The husband was so cruel throughout the book. My husband and I have argued but never has he called me a whore just because that's a word I would know. The wife was the biggest doormat in the world which didn't help curb his cruelty towards her. The handful of books that have rich Sicilian men as the heroes always seem to think they have the right to be mean, without a hint of softness in them until literally the epilogue.
