How To Persuade In 57 Ways - Lloyd Anthony Hidalgo

Everyone wants to become an expert persuader.

It’s for individuals who wants to have more friends.

It’s for salespeople who wants to boost their income.

It's for people who wants to become a great leader.

It’s for those who wants to influence others to their way of thinking. Persuasion is one of the great skills you need in order to succeed. Famous people have this. Great politicians have this. Billionaires have these abilities.

No doubt all people wants to master this.

I have already read so many books, blogs, articles about persuasion. I tried most of them and I realized not all persuasion techniques effective. In this book I only put the persuasion tactics that I found effective, based on experience. That’s my way of learning. Every time I read something in a book, I don’t easily believe it. I apply it, if it is working, there that I can say that what was written is real. So the following 57 techniques are my favorites from all hundreds of persuasion skills out there. I wrote this book short and easy to read so that you can easily apply it. My advice is that every time you read a tip... Stop! and apply it. These skills are hard to do for the first time. Pick first which you think is effective based on result and master it. Familiarize on these techniques one at a time.

So are you ready? Let's start!

    Conversation

Tip #1: He who asks, controls the conversation.

When you are the one asking questions you are the one controlling the conversation because you gather more data about the person. The more you know about him/her the more you will know what he is passionate about. And when you identified that, you can use the WII FM (We will talk this one later). You can now talk topics about his interest, which is very pleasing to the person’s part.

That is why listening is very crucial to conversation. That is why the great conversationalists are listeners.

    Tip:

Ask open-ended questions. These are the questions that are not answerable by Yes or No, or not answerable by a single word. Most open-ended questions start with Why? How?, etc. These questions need answers that needs to be elaborated. For example. Why do you love to cook? When did it all start?

Just make sure don’t ask question after question. They will become suspicious of you if you will overdo it and doing it unnatural. Be interested in them not curious about them.

Tip #2: What’s in it for me?

People are always tuning in to the radio FM station WII FM, which also means What’s in it for me?

Have you ever encountered a person who is so boring to talk with and they keep on talking and talking and talking only about themselves. And here you are exhausted listening to his Ego story. Do you feel energized? Or are you telling yourself When will this talk end?.

One way to make people like you and love to talk to you is to talk something that is in line with their interest. If they like basketball, talk about basketball. If they like Game of Thrones Series, talk about it. Ask open-ended questions and let them talk what they love
