I Was Just Thinking - Ricky Walker
I would like to dedicate this book to my children, Lexus Walker, Camri Walker, Bently Walker, Justice Walker, and to my mother Audrey. I can say for a fact that God truly is good and I am very blessed to have such great titles as ‘Dad and
Son" to share with the most beautiful persons I know.
FRIENDSHIP
When I think of friendship, I think about companionship, and daily acts of kindness. It is acts like these that make life far richer, and meaningful. I advise you to always take time out to contemplate on the good you can do for others.
Every opportunity you have, be sincere, and give your friends words that are uplifting and positive. Give gestures of warmth to friends and strangers alike. Such acts are equivalent to giving gifts, and you know it is a fact everyone loves gifts, especially when the gift is free and unexpectedly given, or comes as a surprise.
In giving, you never know, you might just transform someone’s world from the ordinary, to the extraordinary. Some people need an extra spark to start their fire of compassion. Start as many fires as possible.
Friends are assets, wealth beyond measure. Friends bring you laughter and tears. They keep us in touch with our emotions. I hope you will always make time for your friends and give them attention.
START NOW
I hope you live with courage, hope, and joy in abundance; after all, these are tools of transformation in everyday living, and must be relied upon to have a positive lifestyle. I hope you make it your mission and calling in life to find value and treasure in all your relationships.
I believe character and life experiences help to determine our influence on others. Influence is necessary in order to convince others, and it is only through living with courage, hope, and joy in abundance, will you personally be positioned to positively influence others.
You must be ready at all times to help others out of the swift running current, and in order to do the above, you must be honest with yourself about where you are inwardly. If you have any liabilities that need to be removed, remove them. Make an assessment of your character, and do not allow any of your inward secrets to rob you.
Don’t live your life in compartments, be indivisible, know your power. Plan to succeed. Failing to plan, is equivalent to planning to fail. Do not allow procrastination to keep you from getting started.
Remember this, who we are, who we’ve become, and where we are headed is much more complicated than any book will ever be able to explain.
Do not allow any complications to stop you from setting and achieving your goals.
