Joanne Rowling (1965) is a British novelist. Formerly a French teacher, she is one of the best-known authors in the world thanks to her famous book series about the adventures of Harry Potter.
Now a multi-millionaire, she is active in the humanitarian field, particularly in the fight against child abuse. She has written some other books linked to the world of Harry Potter, the profits of which were donated to charity. Other than the works linked to her mains series, she is also the author of The Casual Vacancy (novel published in 2012), among other works.
