    The best solutions are simple solutions. Issues like our border wall with Mexico, and why it is not necessary to forcibly deport people are addressed with low cost and compassionate strategies. The goal is to keep families together.

      1. Overview

      The PROBLEM:

      There is a perception in some parts of the world that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and that pot of gold lies just inside the Unites States’ southern border.

      And that if you can just get inside that border - climb, swim, boat, risk your life to do whatever, just get inside - then you get to dip your hands into that pot of gold and stuff your pockets with as much as you can carry. You will be set for life, along with your aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, and everybody else that you can drag along with you. It is worth the risk.

      The reality is, that to a large extent, this is a true statement.

      This perception creates a very powerful MAGNET that draws people here and encourages them to cross our border, believing that they will be rewarded if they succeed.

      Unfortunately that pot of gold actually resides not just inside our southern border, but inside your wallet on Friday afternoon when you get paid. You work hard and long for your money so that you can pay your rent or mortgage, and buy food and clothes for yourself and for your family.

      Understand here and now that before you get so much as one dollar in your wallet on Friday afternoon, you have already paid for someone else’s rent, healthcare, food and clothing.

      Those funds were deducted out of you salary without your consent, long before you ever get to pay your own rent or provide for your own family. Just look at your last paystub.

      The SOLUTION:

      Just stop giving them money. Your money. This process will eliminate the magnet that draws them here in the first place. Simple idea, really.

      The QUESTION

      OK. But how do I accomplish that?

      The ANSWER

      Vote. Vote with your wallet.

      Your Representative in Washington, DC is supposed to represent you and your interests, not the best interests of people from other nations. If you personally could stand in Congress, what would you say? What would do?

      Your Congressman or Congresswoman has the job of representing your position to our government.

      If that person is not acting to protect you, then it is time to elect someone new who will be more responsive to your needs. They work for you. This is not abstract. You feel these decisions every Friday.

      2. Introduction

      First, let me say Thank you for being here.

      The subject that you are interested in has massive ramifications for you personally, for your family, for your closest loved ones, for the children you have or may someday have, and for our Country.

      This is a BIG idea.

      Unfortunately, in today’s society, most ideas have to have to be communicated in 140 characters or in a captioned meme, and a BIG idea just simply won’t fit.

      Blivet, a popular term in World War ll came about when Naval personnel provisioned ships that were about to go to war. They needed to overfill all of the men, clothing, gear, ammunition, supplies and spares into a ship that had a finite holding capacity. ¹⁰¹

      You may have heard the term used as 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag. This book is that 5-pound bag.

      IMMIGRATION is the most critical issue facing our nation today.

      A nation without borders is no longer a nation. It eliminates any sense of control about who comes into our country. It renders society and laws and structure irrelevant moving into the future.

      IMPORTANTLY this book is not about immigration done in a legal way. We are supposed to be a nation of immigrants, and I am the son of an immigrant who came here legally.

      The purpose of this exercise is to separate out the people who are here illegally, and want you to support them, and how to fix our currently broken system that encourages this behavior.

      Wage Earning Class

      Do you have a job?

      Are you a union member? Plumber? Welder? Police officer? McDonalds cook? Sell used cars on the lot? Are you the Chief Marketing Officer at a Fortune 500 company?

      If you are a member of the Wage Earning Class – folks who work for a living and receive a paycheck for all of your efforts – not only are you supporting yourself and your family, but you are also supporting a whole lot of other people.

      This important book will shine a bright light on this point, and will help you to understand how the issue of immigration affects you financially and what you can do about it.

      Benefits

      In the pages that follow, you will understand the fundamental nature of this problem, who benefits from it, and who gets stuck with the bills.

      The underlying economic issue is explained by using water balloons as an analogy. (Really)

      The issue of a wall on our southern border has been the subject of much debate lately, and the solution here is very simple and well established. And cheap.

      The way to repair all of these situations lies in the voting booth. You will understand the twin fixes for voting reform and campaign finance reform. These are important topics that we as a country need to deal with and that impact you, directly.

      Let’s Have Lunch

      Imagine that you and I are having a leisurely lunch on Saturday afternoon at a sidewalk café.

      You probably have a good job or at least on an upward career path, and you may be someone who has considered yourself to be politically independent, or quite possibly, a Democrat.
