Amazon is the greatest product search engine in the world. The majority of product searches start on e-commerce sites such as Amazon nowadays. Three times more user search for products on Amazon than they do on Google. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is well-known to website owners for quite a long time. Hundreds of books have been written on the topic of Google SEO to improve ranking and gain more web traffic.
Though, Amazon works with a search engine as well in order to decide which of the millions of product available on their marketplace deserve to be shown when a buyer enters a certain keyphrase.
