      Este tradicional Villancico Inglés se publicó por primera vez en 1780 y aún es gozado por los niños y las familias de hoy. Cada nuevo verso se basa en el anterior, haciendo este poema acumulativo divertido para los jóvenes cantando junto con, y contando cada uno de los doce días de regalos creativos dadas por “Mi verdadero amor.” A medida que cada verso termina con “…y una perdiz en un peral,” los niños se familiarizarán con las palabras y recordaran fácilmente este poema de acoplamiento.
