Introduction: write hot-selling fiction with action and scenes
Hi fellow author
Welcome. This book will help you to become a confident, successful author, who loves writing short stories and novels because for you, writing fiction is both easy and exciting.
More to the point, you'll become an author who writes to entertain readers.
In this book, you'll learn how to entertain readers
Readers want amazing entertainment. If you can give them that, they'll forgo Netflix, Facebook, and video games to read your book.
Entertainment is everything.
Our readers read to relax, to escape from the drudgery of their daily lives — to be uplifted.
This book will give you insights on how to entertain.
This book is for you if:
* You want to write fiction, but aren't sure how to get started;
* You've tried to write fiction in the past, but realized that your words were boring — you admire bestselling authors who write great stories, and you want to do that too;
* You get stuck at around page 100 — you have several books on your hard drive which you haven't finished;
* Your novels sell, but you haven't had a breakthrough. You're struggling to win both buyers and fans;
* You want to write books which sell year after year, not only on the first month after you publish them;
* You want to become a confident writer, who tells a great story.
Let's start at the beginning.
What's a story?
How do you plot?
What are scenes, and how do you use them?
Writing fiction step by step: story, plotting, and scenes
Before we move on, let's define story
, plotting
and scenes
so that we're on the same page (pun intended. :-))
According to Google, a story is: an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment.
To write your story, you need a plot… A plot in fiction is what happens in your story. In essence, change happens.
To entertain your readers, your plot needs ACTION.
