We are honored to sit down with Susan who is a who’s who in the K9 world. Her impressive career in K9 spans FOUR decades beginning in 1978-1989 with USAF, Military Working Dog handler, trainer & Kennelmaster.  (Insert whip cracking)   She worked a “small sniffer dog” SSD  at Hickam AFB, Hawaii, & 1 Patrol-drug. Patrol-drug at McConnell AFB, KS, a contraband (single purpose GSD) and 2 patrol-drug dogs at Yokohama AB, Japan.  From 1989-present: Dallas Police Department.  She was their First female patrol dog handler, been K9 in Dallas since and made Senior Corporal in 1993 where her first 2 dogs were patrol-explosive, 3rd was patrol, and now K9 Yoll.  She Lover of pointy-ears, floppy-swampmouth hound dogs, and maligators.  (Soft spot for pretty much any critter ‘cept snakes.  (Nope)
