    As one meanders through the streets of this beautiful Olympic city, one cannot ignore the plethora of people from different races, walks of life, cultures and places. Where different languages are at times not understood, yet unspoken gestures appreciated. Where differences are temporarily

    shunned and a sense of camaraderie seems to prevail. Barriers are broken, common ground is established and effort is recognised. One can't but help sense there is so much to learn from such a global event. One ponders over the sense of pluralism and tolerance which such Games bring to the fore. 049:013 "O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and We made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you. Indeed, God is All-Knower, All-Aware."
