Able to manage the time efficiently and follow the requirements needed for developing the game using BYOB/ Excel VBA Be creative and innovative in extending the game project.

Intended Learning Outcomes (WILF): All must be able to: understand how to design algorithm for given problem. Most should be able to: create the calculator program Some could: extend the program by adding additional features/ improvements. Keywords: algorithm, tests, validation, calculator, numbers, operators, equal sign, reset Reference to cross-curriculum issues (Literacy, Numeracy, Citizenship, PSHE, ECM..): Entry ( 2.5 mins) Starter (5 mins): Homework -Guessing High-Low Number Program & Documentation When you have asked to create a calculator program, what is the thing that comes into your mind? Main ( 55 mins): Explain WILF Algorithm for Calculator Program Design interface dont spend too much time, max 15 minutes. The program then invites a user to enter 1st number The program then invites a user to enter operation The program then invites a user to enter 2nd number The answer/ result are displayed to user. The user then can restart the program to perform next calculation. Resources Calculator.pptx

How could you extend your program? Program Demo Task of the day Create Calculator program using BYOB or Excel VBA (simple program). BYOB & Excel-VBA Tutorial is available in VLE. Test the program. Plenary ( 10 mins): AFL Exit ( 2.5 mins) Differentiation (related to Learning Outcomes) - G & T: Extend the program with additional features. Homework : Game & documentation to be completed and uploaded to VLE for marking. Assessment including WILF: Questioning & Discussion (AfL) 1) What have you learnt from doing this exercise? 2) Any difficulties? Evaluation of the lesson: Good Informal observations made by curriculum mentor [x]: Good Calculator.sb Calculatrice.xls Simple_Calculat or.xls
