Presented by Mark Dannettel, LEED AP Thornton Tomasettis Mark Dannettel will present Architectural Glass: Solar, Thermal & Optical Properties, the first of a two-part series on architectural glass. The series aims to assist the designer with fundamental aspects of the glass selection process, and explains the characteristics and design properties associated with architectural glass. The first presentation will detail its mechanical properties, while the second lecture will focus on structural properties. Both of these lectures directly assist the designer with the fundamental aspects of the glass selection process.

Learn about solar and thermal radiation. Learn about glass coatings, tints, and ceramic frits, with respect to solar, thermal, and optical performance. Learn how glass compositions affect solar, thermal, and acoustic performance. Learn about fabrication and durability issues for glass coatings.
