Finds it challenging to manage her time; wants to do well in CAS but also needs more time to study. Finds she gets distracted easily when working (Facebook, phone, etc), so needs more time to do course work. Therefore, CAS is stressful. Likes doing the activities when she is there. Finds yoga actually relaxes her, even though the thought of spending time there causes her stress. Reflecting and filling in the forms. It takes time. Po Leung Kuk tutoring. She loves the students and the connections she has made with them. She realizes how lucky she is to go to school at ISF where English is taught daily. Makes her feel sad that not all Hong Kong students have the same privileges as she does. Cypberrun for Research. Didnt learn very much. Just stood on the side lines and cheered. It was interesting to see it, but she wanted more out of the activity.

She is finding it hard to meet her academic goals as she is easily distracted. Set 3 specific goals set by Elaine: 1) CAS By December 2011, I will have written at least 50 reflections. I will do this by writing at least 3 reflections a week for the next 2 months. This will also help me to remember to reflect regularly. 2) Academics I will aim for a score of 5 on my Mathematics mock exam. I will do this by: 1) going to see Ms. Carina at least once a week after school for help, 2) spend 2 hours every Saturday reviewing my math work. 3) University By February 2011, I will have select the top 5 universities for which I will apply for. I will do this by: 1) researching universities that offer business degrees in the UK, 2) talk to Ms. Leslie about my options. Balance of CAS Program: Generally good. Please work on finding some more action activities by December 2011. Quality and Commitment to Program: In terms of doing the activities, Elaine is very commitment. However, the commitment to also getting in the forms and doing the reflections needs to be improved. Reflections: When they are written, they are well written. I also appreciate the pictures and video reflection that has been uploaded. However, reflections are too infrequent, and often done in bursts rather than regularly. Please work to reflect at least 2 times a week. Current CAS situation: Meeting the expectations of CAS Immediate action needed: 1) Find another action activity by December 2011. 2) Write at least 50 reflections by December 2011 3) Reflect regularly, at least 2 times a week. New Goals for May 2012: 1) CAS By December 2011, I will have written at least 50 reflections. I will do this by writing at least 3 reflections a week for the next 2 months.
