Hence, some differences may be felt at the joints. (v) Timber Timber strips are natural materials containing veins and tonality differences. Thus, it is not possible to achieve total consistency of color and grain in its selection and installation. Contraction / expansion of timber joints due to variation in moisture content is also a natural phenomenon.
