STUDENT MARKS ANALYSING SYSTEM CONTENTS:

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY PROJECT SCOPE, OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES COST AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT RISK MANAGEMENT PROJECT CONTROL AND REPORTING PLANS EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This project student mark analyzing system is a system used for conducting the exam, analyzing the answers, calculating the grade and displaying the result. In this system the student details were present already in the database. The student appears for the exam and enters the answers as required. During the course of the exam, the supervisor monitors the student who writes the exam. The analyzer checks the paper and assigns the marks. Then the system is used for analyzing the percentage and grade of the student. The administrator and students can view their results by logging into the system. Student Mark Analysis system is used for the Students and the faculty to have an easy access for viewing the marks. It also makes the work simpler. Here the role of a student is just to view a marks entered by the faculty. Our goal is to develop a software for storing students information sytem. 1. The system obtains following information from the faculty generates report Roll No, Name, Department ,Semester ,Marks in each subject.

2. The total for each student should be calculated and ranked based on total and pass in all the subject appeared. 3. The final report should display rank , percentage, class, PASS/FAIL status for each student. 4. The report should also contain information about no of students passed, failed, list of students who got more than 60% in each subject, overall list of students who got >=60% PROJECT SCOPE,OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES:

T h e ma i n s c o p e o f t h i s p r o j e c t i s t o g e t t h e s t u d e n t s ma r k s a n d u p d a t e i t w h e n e v e r necessary and then to display it for the Students and Faculties. The system provide a access only to the concerned staff member to enter the result of the students and details of the students. Here in this the students can only view the marks if their Username and the Password are correct. They do not have the permission to change or update the marks. It is also the duty of the faculty to distribute the report cards, the duty of the administrator, is to generate the report card and he/she can view the report cards. But the administrator cannot update cards. All these processes are done efficiently and easily in this Student Mark Analysis System. The ultimate goal of this project is to develop a database to integrate the process of the writing of the exam and assigning the scores to the student and also a way of displaying the result. The faculty will calculate the total marks and then based on their percentage obtained by the student he/she will be awarded the grades. Student Mark analysis System deals with all kind of student personal details such as student name,gender,quota,hostel/day scholar, result status of the students and the details of the students. Analyzing the results of each student, the system must classify the students in each category and calculate the pass percentage in each category and present it in a table format. If the student has a result status as F(fail)in any one of the subject,he/she is said to be failed in that semester.

The system should generate the report regarding the pass percentage of students in each department for the particular semester. The main objective of the project is It should contain all the information of a university or a school.

It should contain all the information of university infrastructure or a school. It should contain all the information of university students. Computerized STUDENT MARK ANALYSIS SYSTEM is developed to facilitate the general administration system to manage the various information of the students and the processes involved in an university. So,that university can access accurate information quickly and easily as and when required ,thereby improving its operational efficiency and effectiveness.

INPUTS:

1. personal details of the student in each department 2. Result obtained in each subject 3. username and password for the updation of marks. OUTPUTS: The result analysis of the department regarding the pass percentage of the students classified under each category. COST AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT: Each Systems project will have a total budget of $700 assigned to it at the beginning of the semester. The Faculty Advisor of each Systems project must appoint a Financial Manager for the group within the first two weeks of the project. The role of the Financial Manager is to ensure that the project stays within budget by approving and tracking expenses, reviewing monthly accounting reports, and limiting spending to ensure no cost overruns. Need for additional funding should be brought to the attention of the Faculty Advisor as early as possible, so he/she may request any additional funds they deem appropriate from the Deans office. The Financial Manager will receive an accounting report and telephone report each month from the Program Office. The Financial Manager should review the report to verify that the charges posted to the account are correct and valid. Each Systems project will have its own budget and account string for managing expenditures associated with the project. Only those expenses that are necessary to the project should be charged to the account. Consulting services and/or outsourcing of data analysis may not be purchased. Receipts for expenses more than 30 days old will not be reimbursed by the university.

TOTAL COST - 90,000/SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT: Begin developing a worksheet to analyze the project schedule. Make notes of duration, start and finish dates as shown on the project schedule. Often, there are activities that will be left out, or there will be minor things you will have to do as part of another piece of work. Check to see that

the logic is correct and you will be able to proceed with your work efficiently. Frequently, the logic will not be correct, activities will not be completed. It is easy to use and faster than manual system.
Tasks are achieved in simple and efficient manner

It is easy to get information about student through the application. Fast access to all the information.
Timely and accurate information is provided.

The whole authority is given to the administrator. It is easy and beneficial for generating the report. Tool Tip properties are added in all the component of the system.
Error handling at the time of inserting the data retrieving the data and modifying the data

from database. You can generate whole information of particular student. Update password facility are included. To give permission to only authorized person for the data entry. Saving man power, paper work, time etc.

RISK MANAGEMENT: Developing an application that resides on a local machine and uses local resources is easy. Consider behalf of a non-privileged user. In this security is much more important as the application is accessing data from a remote machine. The system should secure so that only

faculty can enter marks and obtain reports. Marks should be modifies only by the faculty. When the faculty wishes to login to the student marks analyzing system. 1. The system requests that the enter his/her name and password. 2. The faculty enters his/her name and password 3. The system validates the entered name and password and logs faculty into the systemIf, in the basic flow, the faculty enters a invalid name and / or password, the system displays an error message .The faculty chooses to either return to the beginning of the basic flow or cancel the login, at which point the use case. If the use case was successful , the faculty is now logged into the system . If not, the system state is unchanged .The faculty uses this usecase to enter marks for each student . The faculty enters the following details namely Roll No,Student Name, Department,Marks for each student. If the faculty not entered any details or invalid marks then gives error message. RISK TABLE: A risk is a potential problem in a system. It is identified with likelihood of a hazardous event occuring within a designated time or in designated circumtances .It is needed in choosing product development paths that have the best chance of success within a resonable time. Risk management is computed in terms of two factors: the probability that an undesirable event might occur and the consequent estimated loss. P(E)=m/n= number of favourable events/number of possible events.Let e be the event that an undesirable event occurs.

OVERVIEW OF RISK MITIGATION, MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT(RMMM): The RMMM plan documents all the work performed as a part of risk analysis used by the project manager as a part of overall project plan. Risk Mitigation is a problem avoidance activity and Risk Monitoring to allocate the origin of tasks. Incase of Risk Monitoring manager monitors that may provide an indication of whether the risk is becoming more or less likely effectiveness also be monitored. Risk Management assumes that the mitigation efforts have failed and that risk has become 1a reality.

PROJECT CONTROL AND REPORTING PLAN: The term control has several meanings. Those new to project management are initially dismayed by the use the term control, because they mistakenly equate it with the concept of authority. In the world of project management, control has very little to do with telling what people to do, dictating their actions or thoughts or trying to force them to behave in a certain way which are common interpretation of control. Reporting is the way to show output of a particular search or show a relevant data with respect to different needs and teams. Crystal reporting is an powerful technique to achieve this:

Overall reporting will contain the brief description of particular student. It will sort of information from student registration, fee status from fee module and overall position and percentage from marks. Updating and editing are required for correcting the input in case of human error. It also important for flexibility of program. For updating user need to enter the registration number and all data will be shown to user and user can edit the data GRADE CALCULATION: In this module, all the personal details of the student is to be recorded such as full name, date of birth, gender, address, phone number etc. The grades of the students whether in minor exams or major exams are to be calculated in all the subjects. It gives the information about the percentage of the student and record them. Every practical course will have 75% weightage for laboratory assessment and 25% for end semester examination. After end semester examination, analyse the performance of students in all assessments and award letter grades. The grades and corressponding grade points are as follows:

Letter grade Grade points S 10 A 9 B 8 C 7 D 6 E 5 U 0 I W W denotes withdrawal from the course I denotes inadequate attendance in the course and hence prevention from writing semester and examination. U denotes unsuccessful performance in the course.
