Introduction
With the introduction of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure to most of the rural areas, life has changed for rural communities.
In a developing country like the Philippines where the digital divide is more the rule than the exception, delivering instruction through the distance mode presents a significant challenge to educators.

E-learning is to increase accessibility of

education and reducing costs and time as well as improving students performance.

RELATED LITERATURES

the various support services available to them.

Communication between and among students can also be

facilitated by mobile phone technology.

Through e-learning ICT delivers sufficient knowledge-

intensive management skills to people in rural communities, which in turn, can help other people access the information and skills they need for better management.

RELATED LITERATURES

participants with different schedules in different locations to interact and learn in a collaborative, online environment.
E-learning has been one of the technologies that has

simplified lives for many people both in rural and in developed communities.

RELATED LITERATURES

often the cost of living away from home to advance their educational prospects.

Education in general has been transformed by the use of ICT. Experts are now talking about the School of the Future (Taylor & Hogenbirk, 2001), which must grapple with the ever changing need of Filipinos increasingly inter-connected, globalized, informationbased society.

SYNTHESIS
