Ministry Document: The Ontario Curriculum Grades 11 & 12 Visual Arts. The complete document can be found on the website: http://www.edu.gov.on.ca Major Topics: Black and white film based photography and digital photography. The students will learn the technical skills needed to produce black & white film based photographs. Students will learn photographic techniques, how to develop film, and make photographic prints in the darkroom. Students will also learn about the technical aspects involved in digital photography. Students will have opportunities to reflect on the creative process and to apply critical analysis processes to various photographic images.

Most of the supplies that you will need for this course will be supplied by the art department. Please bring pencils, pens and a notebook for organizing handouts and paper for recording notes. Please bring your own USB Memory Stick for storage of images You may bring your own SLR Film Camera, or Digital Point & Shoot or DSLR camera if you have one. However, the photography department has equipment available for students to sign out.
