Student Internship Experience


Ten day school library immersion experience with School Library Director, Eric Bodwell. Collaborated with library staff to focus our professional efforts on teaching lessons, providing reference and readers advisory services and creating opportunities for quality research. Created a curation site for collection-mapping project on which librarians compare current curriculum expectations with collection analysis results in order to improve collection development efforts. Promoted high-interest books to 9th through 12th classes through book talks after which students checked out many of the books I book talked and asked for related recommendations. Instructed students in specialized education classes in the use of Google Docs on which they are currently completing their homework and sharing the work with their lead teacher.
