Conclusion As a conclusion, the length of deflection is directly proportional to the magnitude of the force that applied on the surface

of the beams, whether the ends of the beam are fixed or both of the ends are simply supported. The condition of Youngs modulus for both ends using simple supported bearers is larger than the first one fixed end. The length of the beams is inversely proportional to the Youngs modulus. Furthermore, stainless steel has higher value of Youngs modulus compared to the rest and this makes it much stiffer than other specimen beam(s). Finally, the width and height of a rectangular section beam is directly proportional to its moment of inertia.

Discussion

There was an error when conducting this experiment. The reading taken from the gauge reading was not precise. The wind take effect when taking the reading.

A precaution must be taken to overcome the error. When taking the reading, make sure it was taken precisely. Read the gauge with a correct eye level to ensure the value obtain is correct and precise. Make sure all fans are switch off thus the wind from the fan give extra pressure to the gauge that make the gauge reading become unprecise.
