Emmah Peters 45 University Pr.

Ottawa, ON K1N 9B1 September 13, 2011 Dear Jane, I am applying for the position of clerk/cashier at Bentley, Leathers store number 86235. At present, I am beginning my first year studies at the University of Ottawa in the French immersion program. In addition to this educational course which I will be following for the next four years, I recently graduated from Sir Winston Churchill S.S. French immersion academic program with an Ontario gold Scholars average of 87%. I have always maintained an average of above eighty percent while focusing on language courses and expanding my skill base in many other areas. Due to my interest in the teaching and English, I am looking forward to pursuing my post-secondary education in the area of linguistics and teaching. I feel that the position in question would enable me to greatly benefit Bentley as a clerk drawing buyers in and encouraging product with my customer service skills. This opportunity will also be essential in helping me pay for my rather considerable tuition costs. In light of my background and skills, I have developed a commitment to do the best job possible. I am very efficient and organized, as well as capable of completing any task set before me with only minimal instruction. My experiences in my previous jobs were very positive and so spurred my desire to give one hundred percent anywhere I work. I believe that my skills and experiences would make me an excellent addition to your staff. I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience with respect to an interview. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Sincerely,

Emmah Peters (613) 564-5400 ext. 3252
