Introducing Sutton Coldfield Local

Based at the Our Place Community Hub in Farthing Lane, Sutton Coldfield Local is a not for profit organisation that runs a number of projects aimed at providing a digital voice for the Sutton Coldfield area. The Sutton Coldfield Local Website provides a platform for local news and information and actively encourages contributions from the local community. Our Digital Community Support Project provides support to local groups and organisations in how to benefit from the internet as a tool for communication and collaboration. The project includes the provision of training, consultancy, hands-on practical help and Internet services such as free website hosting and email. Community Film Making - helping the people of Sutton Coldfield tell their stories through video. This includes SCLs School Video Project that links with local schools to provide an opportunity for pupils to work through the entire production process of community video making.

Sutton Coldfield Local Awards Evening

To celebrate some of Sutton Coldfields local heroes we are launching the Sutton Coldfield Local Community Awards, which we plan to run as an annual event. There are eleven categories aimed at giving a thank you to local people that really make a difference to our community and nominations are open to everyone. Our hope is that the event bring lots of members from the community together to share in our communities success stories. Awards will presented at a prestigious three course dinner at the Ramada Hotel.

Sponsoring the Sutton Coldfield Local Awards Evening 2013

Local businesses are being offered the opportunity to sponsor one of the eleven awards. The funds donated will be used to cover the costs of facilitating the Awards Evening which is to be held at The Ramada in Sutton Coldfield on Friday 27th September 2013. The event will recognise those that have made an outstanding contribution in some way as seen by the people of the area. The eleven award categories this year are: Special Recognition Award Best Carer Helping the environment Best neighbour Best Teacher Best Community Focused Business Most Inspirational Person Best Coach/manager Outstanding Bravery Award for best volunteer Best shop worker

What will your business receive in return for your sponsorship?

An individual award associated with your business which will be highlighted throughout the publicity and during the Awards Evening A free ticket to the Awards Evening which includes a three course meal. Additional tickets will also be available at a low cost of just 20 per person A free Editorial Feature on Sutton Coldfield Local website which has an average of 18,000 visits per month Your business logo will be featured on the Sutton Coldfield Local Nominations/Awards web page Your business logo will be featured in publicity for the Awards Evening which will be distributed around Sutton Coldfield Each sponsorship pack costs 500 which is due once the agreement has been signed. For an additional 100 your business is invited to have a promotional space at the Awards Evening with a table and chair/s if required.
